Great book, but to much religion

When I bought this book thought it would be a great thriller and cop book. And it was but for my liking it had to much religion in it. Still highly recommend this book though.

Saving Hope

I am a sucker for a man in a hat, a cowboy hat! So as soon as I saw the cover I was like I need to listen to you.

Kate is someone I would totally want to be when I grow up she has a school that helps missing teenagers get back on their feet.
Texas Ranger Wyatt is an ok character a little too demanding of his family if you ask me. I am all for the alpha man but this was almost toooooo much.
He just kind of rubbed me the wrong way, I mean I get it he is a Ranger he has seen a lot of bad stuff but all his NO, NO, NO, you can’t do this or that only makes teens want to do the exact opposite and you would think he would have known that being a Ranger.

Kate really wanted to get to know the girls and give them a sense of safety and hope, and you wouldn’t know it from the way her mother is towards her.

I guess I just felt like the author made so much negative that the few positives were almost overshadowed.

I enjoyed the narration; I think she did a good job with male and female voices.

*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

Terrible "southern accent"

The story is good! But the narrater must not know many Texans. Her accent was very southern like Georgia or Alabama - she way overplayed the drawl. Might have preferred to read this one.

I liked the story, but...

I didn't like the narrator. She used odd and unnatural intonation, which was irritating and distracting.

Well written

What made the experience of listening to Saving Hope the most enjoyable?

The truth about child sex trafficking is appalling. We all know it's there but it's easy to forget. This was a nice reminder that it's real and we all need to be aware as well as do something to help.
The story is romantic but not overly in such a serious topic. The topic was kept non graphic and appropriate for younger listeners.
This is my first novel for Daley and I'm ready for the next one.

What?

Now here is the first book in a series - so you would want to grab an audience. Right? Narration is everything. If you’re hoping for an assertive, Texas Ranger hero forget it. A female voice is not going to make it happen. In fact the narrator doesn’t even sell you with the female voices. Heck. Couldn’t even finish. Spend more bucks on some really good narrators!
