4 Salvaged Stars

I am always surprised when an author can make me hate a character then turn around and make me like them.
That’s what happened with this book.

Caius was not a nice fella in the first book, but in this book we find out what he is not Caius. Doesn't that make sense? Wren too has been going through the wringer and is the reason Caius was so terrible in the last book.

But mending of hearts and souls is not easy and it takes a lot of trust and letting go to get there.

Then we have Kane and Gayla.. I am glad we got some of them sorted out only to not. Lol
Yeah there love affair is still on going and doesn't have a HEA yet…

Loved this narrator; she has a way of making you want to keep listening to her. I love that.

*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

Love It! A Refreshingly Different PNR!

Why Am I Just Now Hearing About Brenda Tetreault?

Salvaged was AWESOME! I debated if I wanted to start this series, then I debated if I wanted to start with book one. Well, after I decided, I started with book two. That was a mistake but a GOOD mistake. I freaking loved it, and have already downloaded started listening to book one. I recommend this story to any PNR fan who loves unique and interesting characters, multiple plots, and POV's, but suggest starting with book one.

I can't compare this story to anything I've listened too so far. The best I can come up with is it's a Paranormal Fairytale Romance. It has Cupid's son. Yes! You read that correctly CUPID's son who is freaking HOT by the way, and when this story is over, he will leave you swooning. Caius (cupid's son) had his heart broken centuries ago. He was left bitter, and uses his "special powers" to seduce women, and leaves them broken hearted for revenge all in the name of the one who broke his heart. He's determine if he ever crosses paths with the women who broke his heart, he will take his revenge on her, but when Caius comes face to face with Wren, he's not so sure if he can go through with his plan.

Salvaged had the perfect balance between steamy, and sappy and topped with action. I loved the well written plot, the multiple POV's, and the sex scenes, they were really HOT!

Sonja Fields did an amazing job on the narration. Her performance was perfectly paced, and she used the right amount of tones and inflection to deliver each scene flawlessly.

This was an unexpected, delightful story, that was well worth the time! Brenda, and Sonja I hope the rest of the series will be out in audio soon! It's auto-download for me!

God! I'd forgotten how good these are!

Where does Salvaged rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

In its genre, it's a-1. Weird, paranormal, angsty romance is sort of a favorite of mine, and this book is SOOOOOO freaking great!

What other book might you compare Salvaged to and why?

Possibly the Black Dagger Brotherhood, but with 1/4 of the steamy sex scenes.

Which character – as performed by Sonja Field – was your favorite?

Caius. For sure.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Yes! The ending was really liquid, but the implications were traumatizing, even while tittilating.

Any additional comments?

The voice actor is a solid bonus to this series, which I've already read in ebook, and loved.

Salvaged delivers!

Loved the characters, the interweaving plots, the narrator, the story, just the right amount of sizzle!
Can't wait for book 3.

Why Are The Heroines In Romance Stories So

hellbent on making life easy for the heroes?
I guess it wouldn't be a novel then, just a novelette. Blood feuds, especially old blood feuds are such a bunch of bull. The new characters in the story hold promise of much more to come. I wonder what stories will be wrought with Boon's sister and Wren's older sister? The narrator does a great job with the author's story. This was a review copy, thank you for the listen.

Another good one

I enjoyed this book as I did the first, but I didn’t quite like not knowing why things were happening and then it being explained afterwards. I don’t want to give away details. You should definitely listen or read for yourself. Kind of confusing but over all I did enjoy it. I look forward to the next in the series!

Interesting story line.

This is the second in the series and I would recommended reading them in order, for it to flow properly, especially the secondary story with Caine and Gaela.

First the narrator is good, she does talk fast though so be prepared to adjust the volume.
.
I found this second one wasn't as heavy on adjectives but it was still pretty present. Ie chocolate molten eyes were described several times. I appreciate how well she can describe things, but I also find there is such a thing as too descriptive and repetitive.

The story itself is interesting and I will be continuing on with the series. I'm also interested to see how the author grows/develops in their writing as the books progress.

Salvaged

This is a nice addition to the series. I can't wait to see where the couple's end up in the next book. Learning what happened to make cupid's son so angry with women really gives you a great perception into the series.

Getting better!

I started listening to this series with book 4, and was so lost I went back to book 1 and started at the beginning. This is not a series to start in the middle! I enjoyed Tempted so went on to Salvaged to find out what happens to the characters. Caius played a minor part in Tempted and was the guy you wanted to hate. In Salvaged you find out why he was such a callus heartless guy. The book also keeps you moving along with Cane and Gayla although does keep you wanting more. All in all this was a great listen. Definitely has me wanting to listen to Beloved!

Book 2

I just can't get enough of this series!!!! I love the in depth plots, the emotions, and of course the hot men that made this book more interesting.
