Ten years of dedication to the Navy taught SEAL Jon Rudnick one thing: He's not afraid to risk life and limb for his country. But when navigating military red tape begins to present more challenges than the enemy, it makes Jon question his future. So does Alison Cressly, the woman who doesn't do one-night stands or SEALs but who broke both rules with Jon the eve of his deployment to Afghanistan. He can't get her out of his head - not while away and not now that he's back.
It had been years since Milena Reinhart had seen TJ “Rock” Rockwell. He’d torn her heart out of her chest, and she still hadn’t completely recovered. TJ had left his sniper days behind him for good when he’d left the army and become a respected Texas highway patrolman. But he never forgot the girl he’d loved and stupidly given up. Neither thought they’d ever see each other again.
As a flight attendant, Rayne Jackson is used to cancellations, but she never dreamed her latest would lead to a whirlwind tour of London with a handsome stranger...or a life-altering night in his bed. One evening is all the enigmatic man can give her, and Rayne greedily takes it, despite suspecting it will never be enough.
Daxton Chambers loved being a part of the oldest and most distinguished law enforcement agency in the state of Texas: the Texas Rangers. But the person who was burying women alive in his city of San Antonio was always two steps ahead of him...and he hated it.
For Logan Anderson, moving on from a traumatic past means moving back to his hometown of Castle Rock, Colorado, to start a personal-security business with his brothers. But it's not long before Logan runs into Grace Mason, his best friend from high school...and the woman who never answered his letters during his Army years. Grace was pleasantly surprised to see Logan return to Castle Rock, despite their falling-out ten years ago. Everyone always assumed they would end up together, including Grace.
Dakota James's life has become the stuff of nightmares. The leader of the Ansar al-Shari'a terrorist group has become obsessed with her, determined to take her as his wife. On the run, she'll have to pin her hopes on the retired SEAL charged with finding and stopping Aziz Fourati before he can carry out plans to bomb more US airports. Recently recruited to join a sleeper SEAL team tasked with fighting terrorism on US soil, Slade "Cutter" Cutsinger, with the help of some Special Forces friends, has located the one woman who can identify the deadly leader.

Matthew "Wolf" Steel hated flying commercial. Luckily his job as a Navy SEAL meant he didn't have to do it very often. He'd been unlucky enough to be assigned a middle seat on the cramped jet, but fortunately for him, the woman next to him was willing to switch seats with him. Hoping for a relaxing flight, Wolf was pleasantly surprised at the good conversation and sense of humor the woman had as they flew 36,000 feet over the countryside.
Mason Hall, Navy SEAL, knows all about difficult assignments, but his current mission is one for the record books. Not only must he find a wife - and get her pregnant - or forfeit the ranch his family has prized for generations, he must also convince his three brothers to marry, too - before the year is up. Who knew one city girl and three wayward brothers could put up such a fight?
We met in a trapped elevator. Emmett was on his way to work, sophisticated and handsome in his tailored suit and tie. I was on my way to the sperm bank. Awkward, right? At 35, my life hadn't taken the path I thought it would and I was tired of waiting - I wanted a baby. And I was ready to take matters into my own hands to make it happen. After our ill-fated elevator encounter, Emmett insisted on taking me to dinner - he also insisted on something else - that I ditch my plan involving a turkey baster and let him do the job. He would be my baby daddy.
Matt still makes Evie's heart pound, but she wants nothing to do with him. She's had enough of men who lie and promise things they don't deliver. But when her sister goes missing and her ex-boyfriend turns up dead, she's in need of Matt's special military skills.
Alex Gentry doesn't scare easily. Working as an undercover FBI agent in the biker bar he and his brothers co-own, he hangs with deadly criminals in order to gather information. Danger is just part of the family business. But one thing has him terrified: his attraction to Madison Parker. Madison is the cousin of Ramon Alonzo, son and second in command to a notorious drug lord Alex is trying to bust. Alex has befriended Ramon as part of his cover, and Madison has unknowingly become his informant. Falling for her could risk this case - and both their lives.
Navy SEAL Boone Rudman and his friends want to create a sustainable community that can be replicated anywhere in the world. But they need land, so when Martin Fulsom, leader of the Fulsom Foundation, offers them Westfield, a ranch in Montana, they agree to Fulsom's condition that they document their progress on a reality television show. Building the community will be hard enough, but Boone's got another problem.
As a combat hardened Navy SEAL, Thom Grande has fought terrorism around the globe, but he can't fight is his ex-wife. Or her lawyer. Or the alimony payments. Just when he thinks his life can't get any worse, bad luck smacks him up side the head - literally. Now he's got a traumatic brain injury and can't remember his own name. The good news? He can't remember his ex-wife or the woes she's causing him either. Virginia Starr has the worst luck ever with men. But maybe her luck is changing because one hell of a hot man just showed up at her door in the middle of the night. One problem - he can't remember anything, including who he is. The more Ginny sees, the more she realizes, that might not matter all that much. Don't miss the rest of the Hot SEALs series!
At first I wasn't sure how this story was going to come together, but the way this couple meets was so amazing - I absolutely loved it! Cat Johnson is a master at making the reader/listener feel what her characters are feeling, and these two really deserved to find love so it was a joy to watch their romance unfold. Bravo to the author. I recommend this one and all the HOT SEAL books highly!

I wasn't sure if I'd like this SEAL series but I must say I really, really enjoyed it. I liked Thom's amnesia and his car accident when Ginnie found him nearly frozen in the barn, and the things he remembered and the things he didn't. I liked when Thom had to leave on assignment without telling Ginnie and she thought he'd just snuck off, no goodbye, no nothing, for 3 weeks. There were a few times I just had to laugh out loud at some of the things that were said. Drama and humor, love it.
There was sex in this story but it was NOT erotic, thank goodness. There was swearing and the F-bomb was used 6 times. There was only a HFN in this, but that was good enough.
As to the narration: All the mens voices were spectacular and his emotions were awesome BUT his womens voices were awful. He really needs to practice those.
Cat Johnson writes wonderful stories with romance and a bit of excitement thrown in. Sealed At Midnight is no exception. The story is very well narrated by Mr Jensen. Together, they make my commute almost enjoyable!

Typical amnesia/flashback plot that was so ridiculous I could even try to imagine this happening. I know it's fiction but this was just bad.
