Publisher's summary

When post-grad Rachael Hamilton accidentally gate-crashes a pro-athlete party, she ends up face-to-face with Ryan Carter, the NFL's most beloved quarterback.

While most girls would be thrilled to meet the attractive young millionaire, Rachael would rather spend time with books than at sporting events, and she has more important things to worry about than romance—like her parents pressuring her to leave her unpaid publishing internship for law school. But when Ryan's rookie teammate attaches himself to Rachael, she ends up cohosting Friday-night dinners for half a dozen football players.

Over pancake brunches, charity galas, and Alexander the Great, Rachael realizes all the judgments she'd made about Ryan are wrong. But how can a Midwestern Irish-Catholic jock with commitment problems and an artsy, gun-shy Jewish New Englander ever forge a partnership? Rachael must let down her barriers if she wants real love—even if that opens her up to pain that could send her back into her emotional shell forever.

Narrator rough

The story was good. A lot of unnecessary details for my taste. But the narrator was not my cup of tea very hard to listen to.

Wonderful book, story was great, download now!

This story was really good, it was one of those where you hoped the male and female lead will just get on the same page already, which made it wonderful! It had the same vibe as beautiful disaster and it made me want to block out the world so I could just listen to where this story was going...and it was done in a PG-13 way. So, there wasn't any real graphic content but the tension that built didn't need it!

I can't say enough good things about this story...BUT narrator was bad. It wasn't all her fault. She could not do many voices, and the person in charge of editing really should have helped her out with some voice modification or something, plus often the story had switched to another place or conversation and due to a lack of pause I got confused....once again some better editing would have helped, but due to story content I was able to get over it.

This book could really be a big hit with some narrator changes.
Love, love,love this wonderful book!!!!!

Love the story not the narrator

the story was good, although at times it seems like the H should have been on a college football team because they all seemed SO young, but, the worst part of the book was the narrator. the was she did the h's voice was so annoying. he voice was fine otherwise, but she got way too breathy. it was distracting and pulled from the book a lot

Good but the heroine!!!

Great performance, entertaining book.
I still had to take off two stars, because of the heroine.
She was a stupid, immature, insensitive, elitist and prejudicial b*tch.
Had I been the hero, I would have dropped her like a hot potato, and looked for a proper woman.
Plus, there were these random chapters here and there that had nothing to do with the story.

Book had potential.....

I had a hard time with this narrator for some reason. The book was good but I felt like it had so much more potential. Regardless, still was worth the credit.

Good story

Any additional comments?

I liked this story. It was interesting and kept my attention. I loved how the two main characters met, didn't really like each other but end up falling for each other. It's not in my top 10 list but it was good.

Cute story.....annoying narration!

Cute story line, but the narration almost ruined the story. Way too breathy and perky with almost "Valley Girl" intonations. Never a good sound for male characters. I also agreed with one the the pervious reviewers about the timing of the narration. There were awkward and misplaced pause that made the story line confusing. Yet in other parts conversations were rushed with very little variation in the characters voices. With a different narrator I would have given this a solid 4 stars.

Addicting!

Where does Rush Me rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Among those books that fall under contemporary romance this listen is at the top. I totally got sucked into this book and this story of the hot NFL player Ryan and equally hot, loud mouthed, nerdy girl Rachel. I liked both characters and found the development of "them" to be funny, interesting and hot. Their sexual build up was slow and steady and when they finally hook up, I was relieved. This is up there with Rachel Gibson. This was a totally absorbing read and I'm so glad I downloaded this!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Rush Me?

When the sexy womanizing NFL star starts to fall for Rachel. I think he falls for her first but is so intimidated by this young, sassy, independent girl . Unlike so many adoring fans, she is not impressed by his NFL status and she calls him on his crap and tells him like it is. And while Rachel was called bitchy a couple of times in this audio, I have to say - her character was refreshing and real. While there is much bravado behind her banter - that is what I liked most - she is young and trying to make it on her own. She is proud, intelligent, stubborn and scared. She felt very real.

Have you listened to any of Daniella Rabbani’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No but I really liked her. She gave a lot to this recording. I think she was great as Ryan and Rachel. I would gladly listen to her again.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes and I pretty much did! I lost sleep but it was worth it. I hope this author writes more books. I am a fan!

Any additional comments?

Absolutely worth the download!

A good, romantic story

I enjoyed reading this romance about a book person and a football player. I identified with the heroine because I prefer reading (and writing) to football. I also had friends and relatives try to explain the game to me. I thought the hero and heroine were sweet together and I loved their families and friends.
