Publisher's summary

Princess Rozala of Denbourg enjoys her reputation as a wild child, especially when it annoys her father, the king. When Rosa's latest girlfriend brings scandal to the palace doors, her father sends her to Britain, in the hopes that time with her cousin Queen George and the new Queen Consort will finally make her face her responsibilities.

After overcoming personal demons and quitting the high-stakes world of finance, Lennox King is content with keeping her life simple. As the new director of a hospice charity, she uses a strict business approach to help the charity grow and prosper.

When Rosa comes to work at the charity under orders from the Queen Consort, babysitting a spoiled princess is definitely not on Lennox's agenda. But when passion flares between them, will Lennox's past stop their relationship in its tracks, or will a twist of fate bring a new future that neither was expecting?

Don't miss this one

I'm sold on Frame's writing. she definitely knows how to stroke the butch ego and develope butch characters. This is a rare thing in lgbtq writing and I love it. All the characters are so relatable and well rounded. whole series is awesome.

Just as Good as the First!

Didn’t think I could love any characters as much as Bea and George but Rosa and Lex are just as deeply developed and lovable. My new favorite series!

It was good but...

I love Jenny Frame! Her books are fun to read and keep you interested. This one, in my opinion, wasn't as good as the first. SPOILER I didn't know it was going to be this weird mother/daughter-ish relationship that some lesbians seem to fall into. I think it's unhealthy and wasn't prepared to read about it. Other than that, it was ok. Nicola Victoria Vincent knocked it out of the park again. Love her narrations.

Overall, I would recommend this book because it also includes the first book’s characters and it was interesting to hear about their lives also.

Great story

Great follow-up to Royal Romance. It was nice to see the continuation of the characters and meet new ones as well.

Unlikable protagonists

Not only is the main protagonists juvenile and self centered throughout the entire book, there is also the matter of lack of chemistry in the romantic build up.

I only listened to the entire book for glimpses of George and Bea.

Loved book 1. Hopefully book 3 is better.

Worth it

The narrator was so much better in this book, even though I liked the 1st book better. Everything happens the last hour of the book! Should have taken more time, and it was predictable what was going to happen!! But it’s still worth it because what to see what happens next with this series!! Hopefully it’s with this narrator!

Very heteronormative lesbian fiction.

It reads like a normal romance novel with the man's personal pronoun changed to she and her. They do not even get renamed with a feminine name. The damsel wears cute little outfits while he always wears suits or masculine clothes. The damsel princess ogled the dom for their musculature and the description could be ripped straight from any male romance lead. Now I know plenty of butch lesbians. This did NOT feel like that. I feel safe in saying they do not wear 'aftershave'. It was after the second occurrence of this that I stopped listening. I do not take this lightly. I have several hundred audible books in my library and have stopped listening to 3. (Pacific Vortex and something else) I loved the first book. It was like listening to an episode of Crown. This book lacks that completely. That book also was tres hetro. the use of an inteliflesh 'strap on' was annoyingly straight. Yes, I know lesbians who use them but they do not eagerly suck them to felate their girlfriend. This is not a lesbian thing.
I was waiting to see how this book dealt with sex scenes but the repeated aftershave references killed it.
The performer also reads spoken text well but the descriptive passages were too fast and flat like a robot or a student in my class.
