Publisher's Summary

Dragon Shifter Novel

Dragon shifters are a dying breed. There are so few females left that if drastic measures are not taken, and soon, it'll be over for the species. The threat of extinction looms.

King Blaze finally accepts that there is no other option but to evoke an age-old tradition. The Hunt.

The eligible dragon shifter males must hunt a handful of females. It's first catch, first serve. The biggest problem is that the females are human. Despite feedback to the contrary, Coal thinks they are weak and breakable. In his opinion, not capable of surviving the hunt, let alone the mating that will follow. He doesn't believe that a lowly human is capable of birthing him a royal heir, so why has his brother, the king, tasked him with claiming one?

He can't believe this is happening to him. Especially when most of the males in their tribe are willing to accept one of these puny females. Not him. He's never rutted with one and doesn't have any desire, whatsoever, to rut with one in the future, let alone mate and impregnate one. Claiming one of these females will not be an easy feat considering there are three other dragon tribes vying for the opportunity. How the hell is he supposed to do all of this when he doesn't want to come within a mile of one of these unsavory creatures? Guaranteed HEA!

The story contains strong sexual themes/language and is not intended for listeners under the age of 18.

VERY EROTIC

Royal Dragon had so much potential. The premise of the storyline is a good one. But the story is only one dimensional. The story is under developed and so are the characters. With that said I did enjoy it. This is a very erotic story and I really liked the H/H. I will read the next book in the series in hopes that the storyline is more developed.

Narrators were OK but they needed to let the female narrator do all of the female speaking parts and the Male Narrator do all of the male speaking parts instead of each one reading a chapter.

Too vulgar, not enough character development

The story had potential but didn't reach it. If you just want to read about the characters sex and how big it is then I suppose it's okay. If you are you looking for a story you might try elsewhere.

Kind of Blah

Any additional comments?

I love Sebastian York and PRN. So, I thought this was going to be a fantastic book. It wasn't only not fantastic. It was just blah. The story was rushed, characters were not developed at all. The story started out strong, and then, suddenly half-way through, it felt like the author just wanted to finish it and rushed it to the climax and end.

Even with Sebastian York, I wouldn't bother with this book.

Well....

I know I may get flack for this but I think they could've left Sebastian out of this one. Stella out performed him. I am all for the York train believe you me but for some reason he didn't bring it this time. I found myself distracted by his portrayal of the female lead and even the male. A little on the monotone side actually. Maybe he wasn't into the work ,Idk but I was disappointed with it. I actually checked to see if he narrated book two and when I seen he was i cringed😖. Dang it!

Human females: helping save dragons from extinction, since 2016

Julie is down on her luck, but doesn't expect to be dragged off by a dragon and forced to run in the Hunt. Coal is a Prince of the Flame Dragons who is ordered into the Hunt for a female by his brother and King, Blaze. The competition for these few human females is fierce; they may be all that stands between the dragons and extinction. And that's about as deep as this book gets. Having said that, its fine for when you want that total escape read - when you don't want to engage your brain.

Bloom is fine as a narrator. Really like York's voice, period. But - I'm so used to hearing it with a contemporary story, that I don't know how to feel about him reading a "paranormal".

cute story,

The Male narrator for this one was really....dry. the female did great, putting emotion and all into it. all in all a very good book, but the guy really made listening hard at times.

I loved it!

I really like this! If you're into really strong males and tough females then this is a kind of book for you! it really brought you into its world! The sex scenes really good! The only problem I had was with the male voices. I couldn't tell who was speaking between the male character's. His voice is really great and really deep in the kind of way that you would want in a male narrator. If he could change the voice for each male character so you knew who was talking that would have been great.

Kept waiting for more

Just felt like this one fell flat. It could have been a much better story but just didnt have that special something to make you want to buy more of her books.

Really good book, but a little frustrating.

I liked the book as a whole, I just got really frustrated with the heroine. There are times you want to reach through the device, smack her and tell her to get over it. She had trust issues from a hard life, but she pushed that way past almost anyone’s breaking point. The hero is a saint. They have a great hea, but getting there at times is a difficult listen. I’m glad I finished it, but I almost didn’t on more than one occasion.

first book by this author

I liked the twist regarding a dragon shifter. Julie moved very quickly by the middle of the book....seemed to be rushed....not sure if I liked that . seems like a lot more could have happened before she caved

***fire Dragon***

I have read this since it came out on digital form so I decided to listen to it and wow its tottaly different, now I have a voice to put on the characters not just imagining it.
It helps that the narrators are excellent thanks to both Stella Bloom and Sebastian York.
