Publisher's summary

Each book in this series is a complete story unto itself. There are no cliff-hangers. I wouldn't do that to you. You can read them out of sequence. Enjoy!

Agent Rory Dennison is every woman's dream.Tall, dark, and Hollywood handsome, the ex-marine scout sniper maintains a private life none of his teammates suspect. The TEAM is just a job. He intends to keep it that way until assassins murder the father of the tiny Tibetan girl in his charge.

Rory finds himself pulled into a world of mystery and intrigue when he and his companion agent, Ember Davis, are forced to flee with Nima Dawa. Too late he discovers Nima is not only destined to become the next Dalai Lama, but she has an unearthly gift of sight. She can see right through him. And she does. His carefully guarded private life is suddenly at risk. He doesn't know what to trust or whom to believe. The world is too full of shadows. He isn't the only one with secrets....

So Exciting and Emotional!

After listening to another one of Irish Winters’ books I swear I need to invest in a facial tissue company, I go through so many of them! Rory an Ember are so perfect together. They are both characters from previous books who I already liked and it was so nice to get to hear their story. Rory is secretive and adamant about keeping his personal life just that, personal, and away from his fellow team members. Ember is quirky but also has her own secrets. She discovers one of Rory’s secrets at the gym and is determined to break down some of his walls while on a mission with him protecting a little girl who has just lost her father. The mission turns into a battle of life and death and more secrets are revealed; and not all of them are Rory’s. This is an action packed story that kept me enthralled from start to finish. Troy Duran is an exceptional narrator. His voices, both male and female, are spot on for every character, and you always know who is speaking. I highly recommend this book, it is definitely worth the money or credit.

Rory & Ember

There are times when I need to go to my comfort zone, and Irish Winters, In the Company of Snipers series, narrated by Troy Duran puts my right back in a happy place. This installment lets us get a glimpse into the life of Rory. In the last book, we left him hurt and I was concerned! Healed and back to work, he takes on a case with Ember to protect Nima, the child who is suspected to be the next Dalai Lama. And the suspense and romance and fear and love begins! Winters takes us on a journey where Nima just steals your heart. This little girl is sweet and beautiful, all what a 4 year old is supposed to be, but carries a wisdom and knowing way beyond her years! Ember and Rory will do anything to keep her safe. But once the mission is over, will their connection remain? Rory has his own life, with his own son. Is there room for the damaged Ember? Get your tissues, and be ready for a roller coaster of emotions. I fell in love with all the characters in this one, from Nima, to Tyler, Rory's son, to Ember and Rory. Add in the cameos from our previous snipers, like Harley, Mark and Alex and the story is like coming home, the reason I just love to listen to these.

Troy Duran is such a talented storyteller and he keeps me coming back for more. He is one of my go to narrators for that listening reset, With his variety of voices and his connection to the characters, it makes the story come alive, like we are experiencing it as it is happening. Loved it, and can't wait for book 7.

Rory In The Company of Snipers

Just finished Audio and a box of tissues. Yep. This is a good one but prepared for tears.

Rory didn't socialize with the team. He didn't do out of town assignments. He had his own life out of work. This assignment should have been a one and done. Not. He and Ember, the newest field agent, were assigned to watch over a tiny Tibetan girl and her political father to honor the fallen soldiers in Arlington.

So begins the most dangerous mission of all. Dangerous for the body and heart. Protecting and not falling for the little girls was impossible. Could the agents be together and not fall for each other as well?

There is an army of the enemy out there trying to kill their client. Why? When they get cut off from contact with the rest of the agency they have only each other to depend on. Will they make it out alive with the sweet little girl?

Seriously, be prepared for your emotions to be shredded. Thankfully, Ms. Winters usually puts our hearts back together. It just seems this time it might be too much for even her.

A wonderful read with characters to love or hate.

Breathtaking and Suspenseful!

This is the sixth book in the amazing Series In The Company of Snipers, a Romantic Suspense. Rory and Ember's story is breathtaking, action packed, and suspenseful. They are both great, smart, and strong characters. The storyline is captivating, filled with mystery, intrigue, and misunderstandings. I love the heartwarming ending. This is a great addition to this Series. Troy Duran did an outstanding job with the narration. He truly has the perfect voice for this series, and this is a great team author/narrator. I love this Series, and I HIGHLY recommend it.
