Publisher's Summary

Scarlett stared at the sign staked in the grass at the side of the highway. "Paradise Peak, population 1,100", it read; a sign she hadn’t seen since her family had passed it on their way out. It was the same sign though, rickety and worn. It was a wonder the rotting legs hadn’t given out years ago.

This was it. Just a few more minutes and she would be home. At the moment though, the idea of coming home seemed more daunting than comforting.

Not for the first time on her 1,100-mile trek up the west coast, she wondered what the hell she was doing. This had seemed like a good idea six months ago in California. Now, though, she couldn’t help but wonder if she’d gone just a smidge - or off-her-rocker - crazy.

But it wasn’t crazy, she reassured herself. The oversized, glass-walled monstrosity her family had moved to in California had never felt much like home. Hell, she’d needed to use the intercom to call to the opposite side of the house. No, the quaint, ranch-style house she’d grown up in...that was home. Of course, home was situated in a place where everyone knew absolutely everything there is to know about...well...everyone. So, if she thought she could keep her homecoming quiet, she really was losing her marbles.

Realizing she’d slowed to a crawl’s pace, she forced her foot down on the pedal. It was too late to change her mind now. Besides, it was entirely possible nobody would recognize her, and she’d at least make it through the day before the Paradise Peak Gazette’s only reporter was banging down her door.

She drove the half mile into town and stopped at the nearest....

Five Different Circumstances All Happily Ever Afters

I received a copy for an honest and voluntary review.

A variety of stories going from sweet, second chance, billionaire, a little BDSM, and professor and student. All short stories that end a little over an hour with sweet little children, sweet and innocent children and alpha males.

The narrator does a fine job .. good job with men and women’s voices and the emotions.

Quick, fun, and just what I was looking for...

Remember that I am rating a collection of 5 stories that were a little over an hour each. These were quick erotic romances with inexperienced heroines. I was not looking for deep character development. I was looking for quick little romances to listen to between listens that were extremely emotionally draining. These made for great little vacations for my mind and heart.

Sweet love stories

I love the idea of putting several short stories together in one audio book.
The author did a great job with grabbing your attention and keeping it. There were a couple stories that I wished were longer and more complex.
Overall the narrator did a good job. With five stories together she did a good job transitioning between them. There were a couple spots that needs editing but overall she did great.

Not all short stories are good

I was given this audiobook and exchange for an honest review.

I have listed below all of the books in this Anthology and given a brief review of each story. Overall this audiobook is a solid 3. I cannot go higher because one of the books really just completely annoyed me to no end and the very first book in the series was not complete at all whatsoever. And then the last book in the series was not complete either. It completely drove me nuts to no end.

Teresa Stephens was an okay narrator. I just don't like the fact that all of the females and all of the story sounded the same. As well as all of the men sounded the same. I just wanted a bit of a distinction between all of the characters even though they're all separate books.

Tempting Olivia's Father

This is a short story about two people who met back in high school. Scarlett moved away when she was 16 and had a major crush on Caleb who was 21 when they first met. Scarlett ends up moving back to their small town and into her childhood home as well which conveniently enough is next to Caleb. Scarlett has a vague background and so does Caleb. I understand this is a short story however I would have liked more information pertaining to the two characters. I do love Olivia, she is super cute and I am glad that she actually has some speaking roles. The story was good enough however it was left unfinished. I don't get the ending and I wanted more.

Nanny to Mommy

Stacy is sort of an enigma. She wants to be taken care of however she does not want to be a kept woman. She is independent however wants to be with an older man that is established so she does not have to help someone her own age. Stacy just confuses me as a whole. However I do like Stacy even though she is an enigma. Jeffrey is your typical alpha male who is a single father. He does Chase Stacy and is okay with her wanting to take things slow. Stacy does not want to cross the line of employee and employer however it does end up happening. So I am kind of annoyed with this story. They do get there happily ever after however this story is finished whereas Tempting Olivia's Father was not. Why is Nanny to Mommy finished and Tempting Olivia's Father is not?

Scarlett’s Initiation

The story starts with Michael meeting his daughter, Alice, for the first time. Scarlet, the title character, is the nanny of Alice. When Alice's dad Michael goes to retrieve her he promptly advises Scarlett that she is coming along for the ride. I don't understand the relationship between Michael and Scarlett. Also the sucks does not seem realistic to me at all whatsoever. There is a part where they have anal sex and they do not have any type of lubrication whatsoever and that just makes my butt clench in pain. I just didn't like the story.

Under His Spell

Elijah is going through a custody battle with his no good abandoning baby mama. His lawyer informed him that he needs to be more stable. As in becoming a one woman man and not a bachelor with the kid. Audrey, the heroine, is going through a lot. By trade she is a nanny but currently she's unemployed and struggling to take care of her little brother, Jack. Addison, the elusive baby mama only cares about herself. She doesn't want anything to do with her daughter but only is concerned about what her husband thinks of her. Audrey and Elijah work out their issues and again they have a happy ending. This book is not as bad as Scarlett's Initiation but still not as good as Nanny to Mommy, even though it is incomplete 😐😣😥 and Tempting Olivia's Father.

The V Club

Liliana is a violinist who is taking Latin classes in order to advance her career. Keith Preston is her professor who seems to be interested but not overly interested in her more than a professor student relationship. This was a quick and nothing really seemed to resolved. Keith has a 6-month son but yet his ex-wife is still acting crazy and him and Lily declare their love for one another and that is it. What is happening with custody and also what about him being a professor and her being his student? So many things are left unanswered.

I tried to like this

5 short stories all practically the same. Teachers messing around with his student, rich men messing around with their nanny. In all the stories the woman is strong willed and independant, until she finds herself in bed with the man. Thats when she turns whimpy, she's afraid to tell him she's a virgin, she's ashamed of the fact that she hasn't slept with someone yet. She's afraid the man will be disappointed that she is a virgin.
The men (except in the last story) all kick themselves for taking her virginity, hating themselves for not having more control.
I caught myself more than once checking my phone to make sure I hadn't accidentally hit a button that put the narration back a chapter, they were that simular. I have read books by Kathleen Hope and enjoyed them. This set just isn't up to her usual standards.

This is the first time i've listened to this narrator. I like her voice, her narration constant. But there's a couple words she pronounces that sound; all I can think of is; crass. The way she says those two words ruined her performance for me.
Some who might read this may not approve of stronger language, therefore I will not put those words in writing for public display.

I don't like leaving bad feedback, especially for the audibles first review. But I have to be honest to the author, narrator and anyone who might read this. I also have to be honest with myself in order to keep providing feedback.

I requested this audible and received it free of charge. I freely give my honest unbiased reveiw
