Publisher's summary

Half-hyena, Trista has spent years rotating between Grayslake, Redby, and Boyne Falls. When the Grayslake Itan - the local clan's werebear leader - orders a purge of all hyenas, she finds herself fighting to hold onto the hand-to-mouth life she's created. Her carefully built existence is threatened further when a gorgeous werebear strides into her life and demands not just her heart, but her very soul. She'll think about it, but not until her shift ends at seven.

Keen seems like a happy-go-lucky, sex-and-sin werebear, but that's nowhere near the truth. In reality, his inner-animal wants to go on a bloody rampage and kill half of Grayslake - just because it can. After that, it wants to claim the seductive, curvaceous half-hyena female Keen can't get out of his head. The animal doesn't care that most bears wouldn't mind a little hyena tartare for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Nope, it peers at her through Keen's human eyes and has one thought: mate. When push comes to shove, Keen has to decide if he would rather have the family he was born with, or Trista - the woman who makes him realize that true happiness comes in a lush, hyena-shaped package.

What In The Pod People??

Trying to wait until I complete the entire book but it’s difficult. Ty and Van went from loving and all about family to douches that never really cared about their youngest brother? Mom and dad never cared either??? WTF? Lots of hate from everyone towards Trista and none of it from anything SHE did. Most hated her father and brother (neither of which she liked nor did they like her) and one person even hated Keen but guess who gets threatened because of others actions....Trista. If the author did all this drama just so nobody would be sad for Keen separating from his entire family to start his own pack so help me....I was looking forward to Isaac’s book (who hasn’t turned into a jerk in this book possibly because he’s been away) but now do I want to? Looking ahead Reid gets a book? I dislike him and his actions the most. I guess you can tell I really didn’t like this book nor the direction the seemingly loving family went for most of this book (although the brothers wives still seemed cool). Two people, that don’t fit in anywhere but with each other, get a HEA with each other but darn it - it sure brings your spirits down before it gets there........eventually.

Loved this story.

We get the background on Keen - finally. Trista is a prickly but likable character.
Enjoy.

One of the best yet

I love this series! This is the third and this one is super sexy, a little stressful, and the only one that made me cry so far. Love. Love. Love

The best so far.

The storyline in this one really captivated me. Most of the time, when it comes to the "will they make it or won't they" part, there's no real tension since you already know they'll make it. In this book though, I found myself so into the story, I was actually getting tense. I had to remind myself that they would be fine.

The narrator for these books is pretty good. She could work on having better voices for the male characters though. She does the lead male voice fine. It'll sounds like a man. The other male voices though will tend to sound less manly. Van's voice in this book sounded like a ten year old boy. Her acting and inflection though were both really well done.

I'm looking forward to the next book.

This is a story about a toxic relationship,I think

The established characters personalities and mannerisms were changed. The two so called protagonist displayed what I can only describe as dumpster fire behaviours. I hope I got away with out having to add to Mia's swear jar "lol".
I'm not sure if I would consider this book a romance, but to each their own.
Hopefully the next book in the series will bring back the story.

AWESOME

The plot, characters and setting of the story is great. I really enjoyed reading the ebook and enjoyed the audio as well. Reid has some serious problems and the way Kean’s family was clueless mirrored real family dynamics including the drama.

I would recommend to family and friends for the plot alone
