Publisher's summary

From USA Today best-selling author Kathy Coopmans comes the first book in a series of standalones, the Saints series.

She told me Heaven would knock on my door one day. That I would be swept away from the hell I lived in.

She was right about one thing and so wrong about the other.

Heaven came in the form of an angel just like she said. Beautiful. Perfect. An angel.

And then. My life became hell.

She disappeared. Vanished. I left. Went to war. Killed. All for her.

Every face was the man who took her. Every dream filled with her.

For 12 years, I existed in hell. Breathed in the fires from down below.

Until her, the woman on the beach outside of my home. Captivating. Enchanting. Mesmerizing.

It couldn't be my Cora, my angel, my Heaven on Earth. She was dead. Wasn't she?

A Good Listen

I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the narrator and found it very entertaining. The ultimate dysfunctional family in the worst possible way. This is a twisting tale of young love pulled apart. It is a fast paced, suspenseful and action packed with very interesting characters. The narrator's presentation really enhances this exciting tale.

A-MA-ZING

Cora and Riddick fell in love as teenagers but the despicable lies, greed and hatred tore them apart. Be prepared to get so totally engrossed in their story that time has no meaning. This one is a must! Kelley Haden is a shining star as the voices of these characters.

Sexy Romance

Boy, I thought MY family was dysfunctional! Cora and Riddick had their hearts ripped out by lies, deceit and betrayal. How do you pick up the pieces when your dreams die, when your future is gone? And how do you get past the mistrust when you discover it was all just a lie? Things are about to get very hot - and very dangerous.

This was a great second chance romance, with very raw emotions and language. I can't imagine the pain they both endured for the last 12 years. I was immediately drawn in to Cora and Riddick's story and couldn't stop listening. I also liked the plot twists and element of danger. The climax was chilling, suspenseful and action-packed. Great story!

It's no surprise that the narration was terrific. Kelley Hazen has a wonderful way of voicing unique characters and enhancing a story. Well done as usual. I enjoyed Riddick and would recommend it.

Great Read

Riddick by Kathy Coopmans was a great read. This is book one of The Saints series. Before Riddick’s mom Passed away, she told him that one day he will know what heaven is when he meets an angel. Riddick realized the truth of that statement when he met Cora. That is until she is ripped away from him when he’s led to believe she’s dead. I absolutely fell in love with Riddick and Cora and wanted everything right to happen for them. I can’t wait to read the rest of this series.

Love vs. Hate

What a complex book this is. The story spans over a 12 year period with both Riddick and Cora believing the other is dead. The pain these two felt was immense, and their misgivings for believing the other was real. The author wrote a very gripping book that pulled you in and had some unexpected twists. The narrator was able to perform very distinguishable voices for the various characters. Without giving away spoilers, I was very surprised with the ending. Well done. Riddick
The Saints Series, Book 1
By: Kathy Coopmans

This book is about the ultimate dysfuncunal families on the planet. Toss in a bit of Romeo and Juliette and this is what you get. Not for the underage listener.

This is the kind of book that peple who like rough, crude language will enjoy. There seemed to be an interesting story underneath but the lanuage was more than I could appreciate. I'm not sure if I missed the language warning or not when I requested this audiobook.
In my humble opinion a few well placed curses for emphiss make a stonger statement than every other word. I will probably try again to listen as I agreed to do, but I can only get thu a little at a time.

The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed by Kelley Hazen.

Wow, what they lived through...

Kathy Coopmans has a really unique writing style. The entire story seems to come from with in the characters and each chapter comes from one character in particular - their thoughts and feelings. This romance is very bold - the story almost death-defying. But very very contemporary. This is not your typical soft romance and that's what I enjoyed about it. Some scenes are adult in nature. I look forward to more of Kathy Coopmans work. Solid and meaningful narration.

Severely disappointing

The story might have been good, I wouldn't know though because the narrator's voice was so annoying that I deleted the book before I even got to chapter 3. I wish I could return it and get my money back. The way she recites the story seriously makes you want to punch her in the throat. If I could give this no stars I would
