very good!

this was a great story that gave insights to untold parts of Gone with the Wind. it has a different ending than Scarlet, the original Gone with the Wind sequel. Both are good stories that just take a different direction. I loved this book!

True to form

The book captures Rhett Butler and all of his glory. It also captures the Darker side of the south.
It is Historically accurate in how African American were so Brutally treated. the N word is thrown alot so just a heads up. In some places it was hard to stomach but history is history the good and the bad. this book has it all

Perfect Sequel to Gone with the Wind!

Such a great job experiencing events from Rhetts POV and those which were happening in in his life while absent from Scarlett’s.

It worked nicely with the original novel. However, if you’ve only seen the movie you may find it confusing or out of sequence.

So much better than “Scarlett”.

the narrator isn't right. Also some important pieces are brushed over. Bonnie's death especially. I liked that there was story after GWTW ended but it was predictable. Yay happy ending, I suppose.

I like anything gone with the wind

I like anything gone with the wind. This book is great for driving, painting, walking just let's your mind wonder what happens after he gives a damn? If there were any more books on Rhett and Scarlett I'd read them.

I’m glad I got to experience this book

It was so good to finally be able to have an ending that was so satisfying. The only thing I disagree with was his recounts of Melanie. She would have never wrote anything or talked to anyone no matter how much knew. I feel how he portrayed her was in a manner that one would think less of her.

Not what i really expected!!! I guess I thought it might have gone on the same lines of Gone with the wind or scarlet
the narrator was not good!!! Dialect are so unbelievable and cringe worthy..

good story but wait...

I enjoyed this story I really did, but are we just gonna pretend that the storyline of "Scarlett" just never happened?

Not Sure

Listening to this book immediately after Gone With the Wind, I couldn’t decide if the story was reaching, the writing was lacking, or if the book would be better read silently to myself. The narrator reads with a “sing-song” tone that does not compliment the numerous heavy scenes in the story. Some characters seem more like caricatures than the same people Margaret Mitchell described and developed. Overall, the book is engaging and satisfies the reader’s longing for reconciliation of Scarlett and Rhett’s relationship.

The narration was absolutely excellent! The story was mostly satisfying. Overall very good.
