WHOA! FUN READ

Lotta action in this one! Really cool mafia/corporate story, very compelling! You get sucked in stay there, lots of twists & turns, really good listen. Loved the writing, and the narration, very much enjoyed this romantic thriller! Yvette and Antony are great, complicated characters, can't wait to hear what happens next! Definitely recommended :)

Pretty good

So, this was a pretty good mafia story with some romance mixed in. There are good action scenes and a decent plot. It does focus a lot on the relationship but that wasn't so over the top that I lost interest in the story. The narration is well done. All in all, it was an enjoyable listen.

Mafia Romance!

I have been drawn to mafia romance for years. Samantha Lee wrote a book that pulled me in. I loved the twists this book had, and how the characters were developed. The narration by Michael Johnson fit this book. The only thing that would have improved this book, would be to have the second in series available now. I'm not a fan of cliffhanger endings, but this was well done. I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntarily written this review. I will listen to the next book in this series.

romantic and suspenseful

This is a great romantic suspense story. The intensity of the suspense is just right, and the twists will keep you guessing. There is no way I could have predicted anything because I was having a hard time keeping track of who was on which side. The growth of Yvette and Antony's relationship is fun to read about. The struggle with admitting they like each other makes the banter between them so much fun. Yvette's growth as a person is truly inspiring. From a meek person to one who can defend herself, is a huge change. Antony and Yvette are good compliments to each other.

This is the first time I have heard Michael Johnson. I really enjoyed his narration. Michael can narrate female voices smoothly, as well as separate them from the male voices well. Michael was able to bring these characters to life. I look forward to hearing more from Michael Johnson.

Action Packed with a cliffhanger ending!

This book is action packed with a cliffhanger ending! The relationship between Anthony and Yvette is very complicated and that is the best way to describe it without giving too much away. I found the romance between them to be very realistic and not a cheesy love story as you often tend to find in romance novels. The characters are fully developed and highly relatable. Will these two follow their heart and end up together??? The narrator gave a strong performance as he has a good ability to switch between multiple character voices and projected appropriate energy. I can't wait for book 2!!!!!!!! You won't be disappointed as they are lots of twists and turns!

Good mafia romantic suspense!

It's always good to have a mixture of books, and a mafia suspense came through just at the right time. This story is action packed, full of lust and the cliffhanger ending keeps you on the edge of your seat wanting more. Anthony Carbonaro is taking over B&E Shipping. Trying to prove himself the asset that he is to his family, Anthony is pulling out all the stops to get the company to the top. Yvette had no idea that Anthony was taking over the company she is working for, but with his good looks and sharp mind, she is ready to help him. The attraction is immediate, but you can mix business with pleasure, can you? I really enjoyed this book, there are many twists and turns, leaving me guessing for a good portion of it. Anthony is a force to be reckoned with, but the real page turner for me is the transformation that Yvette has. She is a smart, strong woman, and she proves this right up to the end. Danger is lurking everywhere, even with those you don't necessarily expect. With well developed secondary characters, Samantha Lee has given us a world of danger, family, and passion, one that you will not want to miss.

Michael Johnson is the narrator and it's the first time I have heard him perform. He is well paced, and I enjoyed his variety of voices. His female voicing is pleasant, not forced. He uses a lot of emotion and is able to inflect the suspense very well. It is a pleasure to listen to him.

START OF A GOOD SERIES!

This is the start of a really good series. I loved it! This story is full of action and suspense. It also ends with a cliffhanger. The narration was great and gives that extra flair to the book. This author gives you great detail with her character builds and plot, many twists and turns throughout. A job well done! I will definitely be reading any books released in this series (can't wait). Mafia romance

This is a story of mob life and how a cold soon to be mob boss instantly falls for a woman he just meets. After always putting on a façade of caring and a fake smile he has gotten good at, he finally meets someone who makes him genuinely smile and truly care about. Can’t resit this great listen

This is my first I heard from the author . Also first time I heard from the narrator.
Samantha The author wrote a fastpasted story full of anction , mystery and many levels , lots of suspense. This story is about a Mafia family and how one member wants to make a difference to the family and the company.
Hero is Anthoney Heroine is Yvette.

Both are through together via work. They have an attraction towards each other and they need to find a way to work things out .
Grab it and find out does the family get in the way
Michael Johnson had a strong , clear voice . He did the characters perfectly. His voice was smooth
