Publisher's Summary

It was just a party. A silly little celebration with champagne and my best friends. As I blew out the candles on my divorce cake, I said good-bye to my failed marriage and embraced my future with open arms. But I didn't know the future was going to come in the form of a mysterious stranger sitting at the end of the bar, stealing glances all night. And I didn't know it at the time, but my future even had a name: Dante Amato.

Over the weeks that followed, he pursued me with reckless abandon. He broke down my walls and ignored all the reasons we were completely wrong for each other. He made me feel something I hadn't felt in years, something so real it terrified me. But the moment I let him in - just when I began to let myself fall for this dashing stranger - he dropped a bombshell that changed everything.

    "It Made My List…."

I enjoy Winter Renshaw's stories. The plots she creates are intriguing and have just enough drama you don't feel emotionally drained after listening to the story. I liked Reckless because it was about a slightly older women (35yrs old) with two kids and a younger man around 27.

Maren first encounters Dante while she is celebrating her divorce with her best friend. She's not interested in getting to know a younger guy, but due to a her best friends meddling, he ends up with her phone number anyway. Dante was attracted to Maren at first sight, and after a few sexy texts, lengthy conversations and a chance run in, she agrees to go out on a date with him. Before long Maren is introducing Dante to her kids, but when Dante comes clean about a secrete he's been holding back on, Maren is ready to call it quits.

Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell always deliver a stellar performance!

Overall, a decent plot, with lot's of chemistry, humor and drama between the H/h. The only negative for me was the story was good until Dante revealed his secrete. At this point, the plot started getting weak and the ending felt rushed. However, I still look forward to listening to more stories by Renshaw.

    "Nope"

The apparently virtuous female of this book is given her worth via rude comments on the appearances of her female peers. She also harps about their priorities whilst complaining of her own finances and spending her money on frivolous things. The only thing to recommend her is that she's a good mom. This book is more like a dissertation on vulgar women than a romance novel.

As for the guy he's rich, handsome, sexually explicit and doesn't develop a character up to chapter 18, which is where I had to stop. I rarely leave books unfinished but it ran headlong into the "nope."

The performers were great, they did their best. Please note you will be personally insulted if you're: a millennial, skinny, fat, wear makeup, don't wear makeup perfectly, have had plastic surgery, or don't naturally have a perfect body. Otherwise if you like judgemental characters who only pay attention to superficial faults here's your book.

I know this review sounds mean spirited.
