A great story full of drama mystery action on a lot of romance Great book
This book was a snooze that seemed like hours of repetitious words from dull characters. The narrator saved the whole thing with his great voicing, especially of the male lead. I️ honestly questioned the entire time how he managed to even narrate the book without poking himself in the eye. Maybe he did... I️ listened the whole way through only because it was background noise on several short commutes. I️ am sorry to be so negative, but save your credits/money on this one.
Very disappointed in the book. I can only describe it as a Harliquin Romance novel. Boring, repetitive and not like any of the other Nocturne Falls book, which I've read every book. I feel like I wasted a credit.
Great addition to the NF series. Hope she will do more and weave in other NF characters in.
love this book the only thing I didn't like is that its stated that Artemis is the goddesses of war which is very very wrong lol
the biggest problem with this book is that the town and people we know and love where not a part of it. the biggest part of a eu to me is the meshing of the places and people. all the shorts and full books do that in a masterful way. still worth listening to.
I love love love the world of Nocturn Falls Universe, but, this book made me question that love. cliche after cringeworthy cliche.

All Nocturne Falls stories have a central conceit, in that 2 people meet and are irresistibly drawn to each other, then things happen, and the story doesn't resolve itself until the lovers admit their feelings and overcome whatever outside force that is threatening to ruin their happiness. Here, I feel this was "turned up to 11", and overdone.
I actually like this aspect of the series. Usually.
Then again, right now I a m loving the Jayne Frost series, and it has an entirely different flavor, since Jayne is stuck in her affections between 2 very different men.
Anyway, the 2 main characters being irresistibly drawn together felt annoying here.
Maybe too much of a good thing?

Overall I enjoyed this audiobook. B. J. Harrison gave a fine performance as always. There was one issue with the story that I could not get past. The fact that Artemis is not the goddess of strength, but the goddess of hunting, the wilderness and wild animals. Overall I still recommend this book/audiobook.
