Narration belittles parts of this novel

This story is a whirlwind romance that goes from aloof to undying love in 5.2 seconds. The two lovebirds have been longtime friends and have had a longtime attraction to each other and that is the only reason that the story doesn't come across as ridiculous. However, there are a few key emotional scenes that are flattened by the narrator's lack of emotional inflection. I rarely criticise a narrator because I realize that being able to narrate is a unique talent and it is a talent that I am in awe of but, in this case, the lack of emotional inflection cheapens the characters torment. In addition, it happens at the climax (no pun intended😅) of the novel. There is also a scene where there is a life threatening accident that is not written or narrated to invoke suspense or the characters' terror to the reader/listener.

That being said, it is an easy listen with the HEA ending that all,romantic at hearts, love.

Hayden and Addison

So this was the most wittiest story from the series. I loved how Addison kept challenging Hayden in order for him to reveal his feelings for her. The narrators is a phenomenal job.

For 10 years both Hayden and Addie have each secretly lusted, craved and fell hopelessly in love with each other but neither one acted on their deepest fantasies and heartfelt desires. No, never.... until the scorching hot kiss Hayden blew Addie's mind with at the Oscars and now she's finally going to do something about this soul deep longing she has for Hayden. But, as Addie's one of his few really close friends - and his best friend's PA, Hayden knows he daren't take their sizzling chemistry, friendship and obvious intense lust for each other to the next level. He knows he's no good for her, he's against commitment, has a secret life and just isn't prepared to take a chance. However, Addie is smart, knows her opponent and is determined to win Hayden's heart - but it's going to need some seriously sneaky planning to achieve her goal..... good job she's so organized, focussed and open minded..... because he's going to be a challenge.

A push/pull cat and mouse romance where Addie continually tries to pull Hayden into her loving arms.... but when the passion and sex educed haze clears Hayden still keeps pushing Addie away as he just can't see Addie accepting, and being a Sub, to his BDSM lifestyle. Because Addie is so blissfully naive as to what actually goes on in the secret underground Club nestled discreetly below the Quantum Building. However, did he explain or give her a chance?...no, so yet again, the strong-willed and determined cat sets a sneaky trap for her loveable, frustrating and unsuspecting mouse to walk right into..... but instead of a mouse she awakens a beautiful bossy beast.

Very enjoyable, two loveable characters who respect and talk honestly to each other, an easygoing often humorous but very very HOT storyline and there's various other secondary characters who drift in an out of scenes.... including the now happily married Flynn and Natalie from the previous books. This could be a standalone listen but you'd miss the back stories, no cliffhanger ending, dual POV's (occasionally more) and the male narrator was good but I didn't much like the female narrator's male voices..... however it didn't spoil the listen.

Worth a credit? If, or when, you find yourself in the mood for an Erotic light romance then this book fits the wish list.... a seriously sexy, charismatic, thoughtful and handsome Alpha Dom and a very determined woman who eagerly takes on ALL challenges (physical, mental and sexual) to prove her love.... and to prove to him that yes, he's worthy of being unconditionally loved..... and a forever HEA could be his. Yes, another creditworthy listen from M. S. Force and I'm eager to see who's next.

I love Marie force and yet again she pulled another amazing book out. if you have not read this series yet I suggest you start with the first book it will flow better.
