Publisher's Summary

Mermen aren't real. That's what biologist Jamie Winters thinks until a gorgeous Greek god enters her life and drowns her, forcing her to rapture into a Siren. Used to logic, she can't quite come to terms with Seth Cutter's magical undersea realm or the fact that he's a macho Titan.

Being a Siren causes Jamie's hormones to go into overdrive, which isn't good when she realizes that's exactly what Seth was hoping for. Sure, the sex is out of this world, but she's not about to change her character.

As Prince of the North Seas, Seth is used to having his commands followed. A decade of exile on land was easier than having to deal with the sexy-as-sin Siren who tips the scales of his existence and doesn't listen to one word he says.

They must overcome their prejudices to recover stolen relics that are key to the undersea kingdom, stop a deadly plague, and destroy an underwater diva who wants to rule the roost. Are they two souls destined for each other, or will the Fates decide otherwise? Seth knows firsthand, Fate can be a bitch.

rapture indeed

A mermaid story with a fresh twist, following Jamie, her surprising discovery after the chance meeting with Prince Seth. Sparks fly from their first meeting, but the chemistry between them keeps them coming back for more. Danger, suspense, action mixed with sweet romance and the hot variety too with a great HEA ending makes for an enjoyable listen. The 3 Fates' side story is a interesting addition, wonder what happens to them next.
I am glad I gave a chance to this story from a new-to-me author, Ms. Field, looking forward to more in the series. Great choice in voices, both warm and smooth, versatile for the many characters.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and my review is voluntary.

Held me captive till the end

First, I want to say that I thought this was going to be a fluff piece. I was wrong. I thought oh, cute story that will be easy to listen to on the plane to and from Florida. It was easy to listen to- definitely. It was cute, yes. But it was so much more than that. All of us have been in the position to be blindsided by people from our past. All of us have the ability to fall in love and to have it be so strong we want to take that next step immediately. We don't want to lose the things precious to us. If you are in the mood for a love story with some bite and real emotions, this book is for you. I received this book in return for my honest review.

Great first book

I truly enjoyed this one. The weaving of mythology with a great story in the modern world made it great and the narrators made it a really great listen.

I received a free copy of this audiobook in exchange for an unbiased review.

Far better than I had expected

I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

This book definitely had a Christeen Feehan sort of feel to it, with the Fates and soul mate concepts. Not to mention the mythological mermen and sirens. There is definitely a lot of sex, and tons of action. The action and mythology are really what kept my interest throughout. The narration was pretty good, which also helped. All in all, an entertaining experience.

A Titan Tale ...

This story had a lot of elements that were new to me. It is my first book that focussed on merpeople, well Titans and Sirens. I was originally drawn to the story as it referenced mythological beings. That attracts my interest.

Rapture has several story arcs. Just when you think you have a handle on what’s going on, there is an unexpected twist. By the end, I felt there were some unanswered questions. Perhaps those are for future stories? That makes sense since this is submitted as Book 1 and a small clip of Book 2 is given at the end of this book.

Although much of the story is about dangers to the main characters and the underwater people, there is a lot of focus on the romance of Seth and Jamie. I have to say there is some components that are quite graphic when describing the intimate part of their relationship. If that bothers you, I would suggest another option. If it is something you enjoy or it just is what it is, then I would recommend the story.

It was interesting and pleasant to have 2 narrators, one for the female character and one for the male as the story is told from both points of view. Both do a great job. It can be difficult to portray the opposite gender, especially for the men. However, Cook does a great job as does Novak.

Overall, I enjoyed the story., enough that I would like to try the next in the series. I was given this audiobook, at my request, in exchange for an honest review.

Exciting underwater adventure

Really enjoyed listening to this adventure. The action on land and under water was exciting. The chemistry between the main characters is hot.
