Publisher's summary

New York Times and USA Today best-selling Author Tina Folsom presents:

Vampire bodyguard Quinn has lived the last 200 years as a playboy trying in vain to forget the only woman he has ever loved: His human wife Rose, who he believes to be dead.

But Rose is very much alive. Now a vampire herself, she has lived in hiding from Quinn all of these years, having faked her death to hide from him a terrible secret - one she knows would drive him to kill her.

When a powerful and evil vampire threatens to destroy Rose's - and Quinn's - only living descendent, she has no choice but to come out of hiding and ask for Quinn's help. As Quinn struggles with the shock of Rose's reappearance, and they reunite to battle a common foe, they rekindle the flames of their past. But will the passion that reignites between them be enough to overcome the secret that separates them?

A GREAT ADDITION TO THIS SEXY VAMPIRE SERIES

See, now this is why Tina Folsom remains an auto download for me - because we are now into book 6 and her action packed, thrilling and enjoyable story-lines remain fresh and she is constantly bringing in new characters to compliment the old ones and when you finish her book it just leaves you panting for the next one in the series.

For his next mission sexy, smart playboy Scanguard Quinn gets the shock of his life when he sees it's the long ago love of his life and wife Rose who's turned into a smart, independent but very naive Vampire and she needs his, and the rest of the Scanguards, help. As the story unfolds we travel back and forth 200 years into their past and present to hear of the heartbreaking doomed romance which developed and which neither one has forgotten, moved on or recovered from. But there are so many secrets, big misconceptions, betrayals and regrets that the couple will have to overcome if they want their longed for HEA ending.

An evil, powerful Vampire is after a memory stick that contains catastrophic information if it got out so Rose has stolen it and, as the story pulls you in, there's secrets, suspense, mystery, a long lost family tree, danger, sex and a bitter-sweet romance as the tragic lovers fight, not only the villain, but to, at last, get it right this time.

Worth a credit? To finally understand what has driven Quinn into sooo many women's arms over the centuries and to see that he is capable of a great undying passion and loyalty, it's got to be a HELL YEAH. If you've already discovered this series then you know what a treat you're in for but if not then start at book 1 because, as good as this was, others have been better.

Another great sexy Scanguard story.

Another great book for the Scanguards, although not my favorite of the series it is still very good. My favs are still Gabriel's Mate and Zane's Redemption. This series is very much a romance/vamp story so look somewhere else if you're looking for something hardcore fantasy. But if you like sexy men, smart women, and good sex this is your stop, start with Samson's Lovely Mortal. Narrator has changed from the first books, but I thought the new narrator did just as good of job as the last.

Good story, yummy narrator

This is mostly the story of the two lovers reunited, those are not my favorite sort. I prefer to see a love story from the very first meeting. So, my general dislike of the premise definitely colors my review and ratings. It was a good book but my own prejudice made it less enjoyable than others in the series.

Quinn is a great character and I loved him in the last book. The way he handled things was a interesting. He was far more understanding with Rose than most men would in a similar situation.

I was not a fan of Rose, from her rejection of Quinn in the past to the way she handles current events. She let her own fears and ignorance ruin things, then compounded her mistakes along the way. Had she taken a moment to think at any point along the way so much heartache could have been avoided, but then we would not have a book either.

The story was really well done and I am sure if you are into the premise you will enjoy. It was slightly non-linear with flashbacks mixed into the present day story. They were very well placed and helped keep suspense in the story. It is also great that you get both Rose and Quinn's POV on events. I prefer that because you get a more well rounded story. There is also a bonus of Thomas' POV a few times throughout.

The steam was quite yummy and very hot at times! This series certainly steams things up with the variety in the smexxxy scenes.

I listened to the audio books and was surprised to discover we have a new narrator, Eric G. Dove. He has a fabulous gravely and sexy voice. I really enjoyed his reading and felt he helped move the story along nicely. He did not have a great deal of variety in voices, but he made up for that with his smexy tone!

I am still a fan of the series but hope the next book holds more spice. It should be very interesting because it is Oliver and he is not as old as the other heroes.

What an amazing story!!!!

I just LOVE this series! I've read it a few times, but this is my first time listening to the audio. Listening to the story I've caught on to a few things that I didn't notice while reading the story. First, Blake is a lot funnier than I originally thought. Well, the mishaps he gets himself into are funny at any rate. He is still a bit of a bonehead, but at least he does it well. I enjoyed getting this chance to experience Oliver's first time at being a vampire, Quinn's first time at being a sire, Husband and grandfather. I enjoyed getting to see Zane with Portia and Isabelle (Rachel). Seeing that always make me melt a little, as he is my favorite. At least, he's tied for first with Thomas. Sampson didn't play as big a role in this story as he has in past stories, but he does get mentioned quite a few times and he does make the occasional appearance. Love that the girls (Portia, Delilah, and Nina) got a chance to be a bigger part of the story. We also get a chance to learn more about the baby. Quinn and Rose's story is one that spans hundreds of years, back from when they were both humans and married. Everything about their story, this story gave me a thrill. It was exciting and a bit romantic. There were a few adventurous moments as well. One of my favorite parts of this story was all the times I got to laugh at the scenarios that they went through to 'train' Blake. His reactions to everything were spot on for his personality and while running away was most likely the most common reaction to discovering the truth, it was still the biggest bonehead move he made throughout the story. I love my time with the Scanguards' gang, and I look forward to visiting with them again in the next book. Well done to the author and narrator.

I'm addicted to this series!!!

Quinn the playboy of the century, has never found love since becoming a vampire because he has never stopped loving with his mortal wife, that dead shortly after he was turned (so he thinks). Two hundred years and an unknown child later, Rose appears asking for Quinn help to protect the great great great great grandson he never knew existed. Quinn was not only livid, he was severely pissed. But Quinn decides to help because even though it has been two centuries, Quinn still loves her, despite the deceit and lies.

Quinn story was very good. I spent my entire day finishing it. I couldn’t stop until I got to the end. I needed more of Quinn and Rose’s story. Even after the book ended, I was hoping that it would be another chapter. This book captivated my love conquers all spirit. For a hopeless romantic like me, this book was perfect. It has love, romance, sexy vampires (yumm), lies, some action and a HEA, what more could I want. I can’t wait to start on Oliver’s book next.

I gave the book three stars in performance only because up until this book Kevin Foley has been doing the narration and I have become accustomed to his voice with the characters. This isn’t to say Eric doesn’t have a decadent voice, but after five books and only one narrator throughout those books, I wanted Kevin’s sinful voice.

I absolutely hated Rose!

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

I did not enjoy this one.

What do you think your next listen will be?

Oliver's Hunger

What aspect of Eric G. Dove’s performance would you have changed?

It was ok. I prefer Petkoff.

What would have made this romance irresistible?

This would have been better had the heroine been the least bit likeable.

Any additional comments?

I finished this book thinking that Rose had no redeeming qualities. She did not deserve Quinn and her behavior honestly ruined this story for me. Was this Folson's intention?

An interesting twist!!

This was not quite what I was expecting. In the first 5 books everyone found their mate. In this one Quinn not only knew Rose, but he had married her when they were both human. But they only had 1 night together, now 200 years later Rose needs Quinn's help. All that time Quinn thought Rose was dead. Now he almost lets his pain and hurt keep them apart now other then the "Job." While their story is interesting, the most interesting part for me was when Thomas faces his Sire. I look forward to Thomas's story.

Scangards Vampires *swoon^

Where does Quinn's Undying Rose rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Quinn's Undying Rose is one of my very favorite books and it is even made better by having the characters come to life through narration.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I love Quinn. He is strong and it's so romantic that he could have experienced so many other women in his vampire lifetime, but still have his heart belong to his wife.

Which scene was your favorite?

The party scene. Where Quinn was introducing Rose to his coworkers and she was learning that her vampire life could be much more full if she would find the right people to share her life. It was like an awakening that the world wasn't as big and nasty as she had to live through.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I did listen to it in one sitting. I have read it in one sitting and more than once. I enjoy Tina Folsom's books that much.
