Bryce is a moose shifter who has to marry to inherit the company from his grandfather. Melanie is a lynx shifter who doesn't realize there are other shifters, other than her absentee father.
Bryce meets Melanie and deciding she's the perfect female, proposes to her. At first she thinks it's a joke, but he pursues her and gets her to change her mind.
"Keep things professional" they agreed. But the heart doesn't believe in professionalism. It believes in love and love will not be denied.
Great story. Loved it.

Great Fun!

The Billionaire Moose is an Alpha with protective instincts as big as his rack! Bryce and Melanie make a fun couple as Melanie learns more about her shifter side and Bryce learns more about women.
Grandpa Theo is a schemer of the first order and an absolute gem.

Arrogant man meets humble woman add in family drama and you have a funny story that sucks you in and makes you laugh out loud. You also root for the moose to get his cat and love happily ever after.

Bryce & Melanie

A lot of story happening in this. Bryce needs to wed and have a baby to inherit the family company, and a new relative, Rory, appears to inherit with a crazy fiance (but what happens to her and where are his consequences?). Some wolf shifters start attacking others (where are those consequences Bryce talked about?). Melanie has a terrible mother and lets her continue to abuse her, everyday. Cute read with Melanie thinking she is different and alone.

Love how Eve takes a commen trait in a love romance and gives it a spin. Love how Bryce is a Moose so strong and determined. Bryce gets a visit from his grandfather and he gets his marching orders . “Get married and produce grandchildren before I’m five feet under “. Bryce is wondering where is he going to find such a woman.
Melanie is taking care of her mother. She is in line at a coffee shop when she gets a most unexpected question.
Bryce asks Melanie “ will you marry me”

Great story, great performance

Respect the rack! Logan McAllisters voice was perfect for bringing this hilarious drama to life! The story itself centered around Brice and Melanie as they navigated a fake/real relationship, scheming family members, and learning about their pasts. It was well written, had great character development, was funny, entertaining, and interesting. Definitely looking forward to book 2!

Brilliant story made more emotional with narration

The narrator is one I have listened to before and enjoyed. He does a good job but in this book I did not like was his impression of Maisie, I imagine her with a deeper, nastier tone. When listening to this the emotions are more realistic. You feel the sadness and anger over the harm done to Melanie by Maisie. And I felt so sorry for poor Brice when everything looked glum. Brice was just so funny with his love of all things maple Syrupy and I laughed at what he did to his grandad as payback. The epilogue was very entertaining and the teaser for Rory so interesting and I really want to read his story. Will need to see if it has been written yet. BOOK REVIEW A brilliantly entertaining short read. Great story with a funny twisty plot. I did get upset when the truth of Melanie’s life came out, it was just so sad. Such a good fun madcap read. Fiancées who are not fiancées, Imposters who are not imposters and dying grandads who are not dying. Liked the two main characters very much and most of the other characters were entertaining in their own way. Found the blurb for Rory’s book intriguing. Will be reading that.

Short, silly fun

I only read this book because a) the title is so outrageous, b) it was on Audible Romance package and therefore free/ paid for, and c) it was short. I haven't previously read any shifter romance (which I know is a THING) so I may have missed references to known shifter tropes or elements that Langlais may have satirized. It was an ok read, pretty funny and light. There were some cringey parts, like a comment about how women don't call the police on handsome stalkers (ergh) and some weirdness about virginity. The narrator was spot-on, he sounded like he was playing a part in a John Hughes film. I felt like the author could have taken it further in the direction of satire and it would have been more fun, there isn't much to the humor beyond the fact that characters are moose shifters. Overall a fun, short read.

Really enjoyed this!

I already loved this as an ebook. I enjoyed this narrator as usual. He gives great distinction between characters and I think that is important to make the book enjoyable. Nice.
