Two lovers will dare to risk all.

Had a hard time getting into the characters

I guess I'm just not into demons. Saying that, the story was good and the reader excellent. However, since I had a hard time getting into the characters, I didn't really care what happened to them.

I do enjoy sci-fi and other supernatural stories (vampires, weres, etc); however, I was never able to empathize with the characters. If you like demons and all the possibilities that entails, you will probably like this book. If not, you won't.

I loved this weird tale

What can I say? It’s a page-turner. It was interesting, well-paced, and steamy in ways that I had not expected. Definitely Buffy the Vampire Slayer vibes.

Go on. Hang out with some demons.

Great Start to a Series!

I loved this enemy to lovers' fated mate's love story. The steamy tensions while solving a mystery that keeps you guessing with each chapter. I think this book does a great job of balancing world-building and focusing on the couple. Can't wait to read the rest of this series!

Very Good

Where does Pleasure Unbound rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

It is one of the better book's I have listened to lately. I enjoyed the storyline very much.

What other book might you compare Pleasure Unbound to and why?

In my opinion, this book is similar to Kresley Cole's books.

What about Cassandra Campbell’s performance did you like?

I think she did a wonderful job on how she sounded on her male voice. Some narrators cannot pull off male/female voices that are pleasing to listen to.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No extreme reactions, but I did enjoy it.

Any additional comments?

It was worth the credit if you like authors like Kresley Cole, JR Ward, Chrisitne Feehan, ect.....

Good paranormal romance series. Bad heroine

I've read all of the Demonica series. I decided to go back and listen to the Audio while I work. I forgot that I really didn't like the heroine in this one. I've read books that you hate the heroine/hero in the beginning but grow to understand and like them.

I think Kayla's character takes too long to stop being intolerable. The lust/love that Eidolon has for her is just not believable.

The hero (Eidolon) brings the heroine to his demon hospital, saves her life, even though she is a demon slayer blinded by a negative past experience. Eidolon lets her go free. In exchange, she gets one of their doctors tortured and murdered.

Then she infiltrates the hospital and they save her a second time, so she blows up the hospital parking lot and kills 3 more workers. Eidolon just can't stop falling in love with her.

On top of all that, because of past abuse in her life she is frigid. Everytime they have sexy time, she is never satisfied. So an incubus demon can't get enough of her? This plot devise on it's own is annoying and as tedious as you would assume.

All the demons at the hospital are altruistic coddlers to Tayla's anger, abusive and prejudiced intolerance all under the guise that she is confused and hurting.

They work it all out in the end. But the resolution of their problems is very unsatisfying.
