Publisher's summary

In his position as Tracker for the SnowDancer pack, Drew Kincaid must rein in rogue Changelings who've lost control of their animal halves - even if it means killing those who've gone too far. But nothing in his life has prepared him for the battle he must now wage - to win the heart of a woman who makes his body ignite... and who threatens to enslave his wolf.

Mind over matter: listen to more in the Psy-Changeling series.

Critic reviews

"Compelling characters and wonderfully dense plotting are two reasons why Singh's books continue to enthrall. There is no finer storyteller around!" ( Romantic Times)

Tired of listening to stories about humans? Consider the werewolf! Taking various forms over the course of centuries and mythologies, often as flesh-devourers, werewolves now commonly appear in fantasy and romance novels as shape-shifters. The shape-shifting element in werewolves' stories has almost humanized them, depicting the internal struggles we all face within ourselves, on some level or another.

Back to the story!

A great continuation of the series, with believable scenes of passion and caring between Indigo and Drew. A++

What an ending

Did enjoy this story. Like Indigo and Drew together. But the ending to this story is a whopper. And the setup this one provides for the next two is excellent. Love this series.

Yummy Changling story!

I was soooo happy to get back tot he changelings, particularly the Snow Dancer Wolf Pack...that Hawk drives me crazy, but this was the story of Drew and Indigo. Drew is the young guy in the Den but he has an important job...well several important jobs. He wants Indigo, Hawk right hand lady, and frankly she thinks of him as a young and inexperienced pup....except he has a body to die for, no wait, he's Riley's little brother and no way is she touching someone she helped train....or is she.

Great addition, wonderful playfulness, really liked this one!

I totally loved this one

What was one of the most memorable moments of Play of Passion?

There was a lot of good stuff in this book, but for whatever reason, the scene where Drew goes cray cray on Mathias during the mating dance was just so hot to me. Guess I like it when men go all territorial.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Absolutely! This series started off strong by presenting good love stories in an interesting world. By now (book 9) I'm totally into the goings on as much as (and sometimes) even more than the romance. Unlike the 2 previous books where the focus was more on action than romance, this installment hit all the right notes, giving a good balance of action and "action." I also appreciated that neither of these characters had major personality roadblocks, but more...normal...hangups that I could sympathize with more than I have the last few books. It also helped that we had known these characters before this book, so less time was need to build up their personalities.

Any additional comments?

I can't believe I'm already done with book 9. I'm waist-deep in this shizz and loving every minute of it!!

Good

Play of Passion is a wolf to wolf pairing. Indigo is a dominant female wolf and 4 years older than Drew, whose dominance ranks lower than her. This is the main conflict of the story and a big reason why I didn’t enjoy this one as much as some of the others. My personal preference is a more dominant male and a little bit less pushing away. The Psy council part of the story showed a little bit of movement. I have to admit I’m pretty anxious to see how this part of the series is going to play out by the end. Overall, a good story, just not one of my favorite couples.

Play of Passion Book 9.

Snowdancer pack is the focus of this story and the plot to kill the Snowdancer alpha by the couples councilors Henry Scott and Shoshone Scott. But this couple working with the kids did help them discovered the Psy and it set thing in motion. With time they find out more of the technology equipment used by the Sccots to spy on the Snowdancer. Learning all about their lives and plan monitoring how best to kidnap and kill their alpha.
In the end they make their move and they lost all of their soldiers except the TK. During this fight Andrew was shot again and he was almost lost. If not his mate holding him to her life line until the doctor and healer was able to help heal him. Others was able to make their contributions for the couples.
