Publisher's Summary

Ezmerelda has just suffered through two indignities. The first was her thirtieth birthday, and the second was the lineup of suitors her father brought along as guests to the party. Her friend, Krisia, offers her a chance to stop her family from fixing Ezzy up at every opportunity.

With depressing honesty her friend tells her she needs to go to the Shifter's Crossroads and find herself a mate. The transporter sends her through the magical portal to the place where shifters go as a last resort when they can't find a mate of their own: the Crossroads.

Sounds like they are in a tunnel

Would you try another book from Zenina Masters and/or Kellie Kamryn?

Unsure, it was a mess, sounding like they are in a tunnel at times and I had to concentrate on when the "guy" was talking.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

none

How could the performance have been better?

I have no idea. maybe speaking into a speaker and not sounding like they where across a room or tunnel.

What would have made this romance irresistible?

I have no idea on that one, a re-write. interesting story but lost me with the voice and maybe if I read it and not listened to it.

Very poor audio.

Would you try another book from Zenina Masters and/or Kellie Kamryn?

No, it was a rather weak story, and very difficult to follow at times. It sounded like the narrator recorded this while in the bathroom (very muffled).

What do you think your next listen will be?

Anything written by lynsay sands.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Kellie Kamryn?

Anyone else.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

It had the potential to be a good story, but the poor sound quality and the lack of plot development makes it hard to like.

Any additional comments?

Happy to see this series in audio now

This is the first book in a very promising series. Great concept and a really engaging story-line.I have enjoyed the books in ebook, so I thought to revisit in audio.

Ezzy is really sweet and Buzz is just delicious!! An owl and a bear make a very unique match. I am intrigued by the idea that they do not share their animals until just before the match is solidified. What other unique pairing can occur!

I also liked the side romance of Ezzy's best friend Krisia. It could have used a bit of steam though. I expect the future will be very interesting for this pair of BFF ad their mates!

This is a mixed narrative, giving over the POV to each of the main characters s well as the best friend and her mate.It was great getting into their heads.Really makes for a more engaging story.

It was a new take on shifters for me, which is rare cause I read a lot of paranormal. I like the twists and can not wait to see what happens next in the series. I have been reading them for the last year, and really have gotten to know the residents of the Crossroads and the shifters who come there looking for love.

I listened to the audiobook narrated by Kellie Kamryn, who has been hit and miss for me in the past. I like her voice and enjoy her read. The issue is the quality of the productions. She either sounds like she is in a cave or has a white noise in the background. It is annoying, but after a little bit you get used to things, I hope as she gains more experience she invests in some quality equipment. I want to enjoy the read and her performance, the production really keeps that from happening!

There could have been a bit more steam but what there was was really hot and heavy!! Open bedroom door, with enough detail to get you hot and bothered.

Loads of story going on and nicely paced. There was so much going on in this story, it really should have been longer with more detail. Things are very abbreviated.

A quick and enjoyable read!

*** I hope this review was useful to you and helped your decision to read or not read this book. I love reading and sharing my opinions with other readers. I listen at double speed; all my impressions of the narration are from that setting. Thanks for taking the time to read my review! Good Story, Lousy Reader

What would have made Owl's Fair better?

A different reader.<br/>I like the story - I've read it before, but I couldn't finish listening to this. The narrator really pee'd me off.

How could the performance have been better?

A different Narrator!
