The Night Huntress series is one of my favorites. I was bummed out to see the series end so getting the chance to hear more of Bones and Cat’s story is fantastic! The outtakes and deleted scenes are easy to follow thanks to the author comments letting you know where the scene would have been. I could not stop listening I ended up listening all night. This is an awesome addition to the series!

Great to hear the deleted scenes! Always enjoy Bones & Cat scenes! Most excellent! The editor should have allowed the wedding dress & wedding dress scene in the book. Now a days marriages seem to be a throw away option & I don't believe represent the happily ever after as it once did. Happily married for 20 years!

I wish she could do this for all her books. It was great to have more insight in the characters friendship, as well as funny parts. Fans could easily understand the parts and I think we enjoy knowing more about them, we’ll take what we can <3

It was like visiting old friends...alt endings, other stories...it was very entertaining!

What does Tavia Gilbert bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Tavia is a true artist, I love listening to her..she is great...she brought this whole series to life for me..I would listen to anything she narrated!!

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

I wish they would make this series into a movie!

I was thrilled to see this available on audible, and about kicked myself I didn't notice it for a month! I enjoyed these extra stories, and alternative versions...it was like visiting old friends, I laughed and shed some tears...I was excited for Cat and Bones..and disappointed some times too...The dress shop was HILARIOUS! And I loved the alt middle to book 4 at the end...I hate that this series ended, but I do like that I get to visit these characters in other books and novellas...This set of stories made me want to give this whole series a relisten...and I probably will..it will be the 4th time I think...but who is counting?

It's like visiting an old friend...

I've re-listened to the Night Huntress books twice over, but didn't think much about this collection of outtakes until now. And even though Ian is my absolute favourite, I LOVED hearing about Bones! Clever lad he is... knows what he wants and goes after it.

I'm a little miffed at the editor, so many good parts cut out all in the name of "pacing". I wonder if there will ever be an alternate revised version with the outtakes put in. The last story especially! It was such a treat to find "new" material in the Night Huntress universe.

Frost is one of the best in the PNR-genre full-stop. Tavia is great here as per usual. I really like how Bones sounds even though some fans have complained about it. He's not some generic PNR love interest who just happens to sound like the deeper version of the female narrator's voice. The voice Gilbert uses for him is quintessentially Crispin.

I do want to point out an issue with the audio: at 4:14:27 and 4:14:38, a sentence is repeated:
"the name finally registered and my mother pitched in mid-crouch, my cat scorched her hand with his claws before leaping away with a hiss". This took me out of the story for a moment, but everything else was ace!

Glad she released this

I’m so glad Frost released this. Honestly, I think her originals in here make more character sense than what she published, even though I love her books. Especially the Bones memory loss and Cat being engaged and numb- I could care less about following romance protocols, I think it just makes more sense given actual human or half-vampire emotions and actions. Loved it. Tavia, as usual, amazing.

I loved this so much! It was great learning all the different little side plots that Frost thought up as she was creating Cat's and Bone's stories. Some things were strange and others seemed intriguing. And the author notes on each scene were fascinating to me. It was so interesting to learn what Frost was thinking when she originally wrote these scenes. This was a fantastic look into her mind. An amazing anthology!

Tavia Gilbert, as usual, kicked butt with her performance. She's always on point and gives everyone their own voice. I can never find fault in her performances. She's simply fabulous!

Not to be missed!

I almost didn't buy this. That would have been a huge mistake. Knowing what might have been, knowing the characters a little better, made me appreciate the series even more!
