Publisher's summary

Time-travel romances have made Lynn Kurland a best seller in the here-and-now.

A duty-bound knight has taken on the task of rebuilding the most dilapidated castle in all of England. A costume designer gets her chance to shine by showcasing her fairy-tale designs at an upscale party in an authentic medieval castle. And the magic that whispers along the castle's hallways is about to orchestrate an improbable happily-ever-after.

I loved this one!

This book Enchanted Evening was different than most romance books we read these days this was clean. I must say that the time travel was fun, I must say though that the plot was very light the main characters were not instantly in love with one another, Yet you felt like you were there watching them fall in love one day at a time. I did not like the fact that the sister Cinderella was so horrid, having sisters that did not make sense to me, but I do think that if you want a light clean read with lots of romance and finding your soul mate this will be a joy for you to read,
Heather

enchanting

One of the best books I have listen to. Such a excellent story. Can't wait to read more of her books about time travel. There definetly was enough characters introduced in the book to form many more stories to come. Truely visual and detailed.

Great story and great narrator

I've been a fan of Lynn Kurland's books for years and was thrilled to see this new one on Audible. Some narrators sound awful doing accents. This narrator does a great job. I will definitely buy any and all by Kurland and Kadushin. Please offer more!

Don't do it!

OMG, I am so glad that's over. I am so sorry I wasted a credit on this book. If I had to hear the word karma one more time I was going to lose it. Seriously, this is my first review after 50+ downloads and I hope I save someone the misery. I believe the story may have had merit but the characters were so ridiculous I couldn't take it. The one star is for the narrator, I actually really like her.

Sappy

The storyline could have been redeemed, but the author created one of those women who never ask the right question or give the right information when it's needed. There were also lots of missing bits in the story, so sometimes I wasn't sure what had happened. It's sappy and too sweet, although there were some interesting parts in it. Too bad.

An enjoyable PG13 romance

This story is sweet, “toned down” in the romance department and PG13. However the rating does not detract from the story line. I really enjoyed it. I also enjoyed Twilight, all of them. This story is nothing like Twilight, except for the PG13 rating and the narrator whom did an excellent job.

A wonderful 'old-fashioned' time travel romance

I just recently "found" Lynn Kurland by reading her newest de Piaget book Stars in Your Eyes and loved it. I instantly started searching for more and found out a few of her books were in audio. I instantly came to download a couple, but was nervous about most of them being narrated by Ilyana Kadushin. (I knew her voice from Twilight and was afraid it would remind me too much of it) I needn't have worried. She did an amazing job.

This book has one of the same problems as Stars did - in that the first few chapters were actually annoying - the heroine complains about her family and the hero is a bit of a wimp. However, get past that point, because once you do, you will fall in love with them. (Though I do think the whole thing about Cinderella was too much. WAY too much. For someone who was such a pain, she should have gotten some sort of slap at the end - and no, I do not think what was done to her was enough.) Though I was glad when Pippa finally took things 'in hand'.

One of my favorite things about Kurland's books is that there isn't that insta-love thing too many romances suffer from. The couple falls in love, but there isn't that lust that overrides the pages and has come to make me yawn.

Take one modern individual and one from the 13th century, time gates throughout England, and a humorous medieval knight who suffers through paranormal oddities, and the family of de Piaget, who seems slated to always find true love in another century. And you get her de Piaget series.

I loved all the audios I've downloaded so far and am now trying to find all the books at a used bookstore since some of them are no longer available in book form.

Highly suggest this series. Especially if you enjoy clean romance, which hers are. (Or at least what I've read/listened to so far.)

Dialogue Anyone?

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

I listen to a lot of books. Usually a story like this needs some character development, right? Well, how do you possibly develop a character without dialogue? The story skips from one characters point of view (with 5 seconds of dialogue) to another characters point of view (with maybe another 5 seconds of dialogue, if you are lucky). I really, really, really wanted to like this book. I just finished reading "Waterfall" by Lisa T. Bergren, which was amazing, and so maybe my hopes to like this book were a little high. So, I have listened to three hours of this book but only about 20 seconds of dialogue and the characters interacting with each other. Most of it is the character looking at the other character and telling the story of what is going on without any verbage, and it is sooooo annoying! I am wondering if the author knows how to write, He said.....She said.....

Any additional comments?

The narrator was awesome....

Eh...

This is okay. It's different, I'll give it that. But there's no sex. A little drawn out. Lynn is a self depricating author and that does make it funny at times.
