Publisher's summary

My name is Henry Walton, and though I've been called many things throughout my life - tree trunk, moose, walrus - I am now six foot five, solid muscle, and the hottest defensive end in the NFL college draft. This is the moment I've been waiting for: fame, women, and glory. Just one problem: I'm suddenly in a bad slump. And it started the moment I got dumped by Elle, the nerdy goddess with thick glasses, a smokin' hot body, and a genius IQ.

So what gives? We dated for only a few weeks, and it's not like I've missed her. (Much.) Regardless, all the facts point to one conclusion. Elle is my lucky nerd-charm. So call me superstitious, but I have to get her back before I lose everything. Even if she's the last girl I should want and she now hates my guts.

Contains mature themes.

Friggin loved the entire story.... until the endin

I swear I wanted to give the story a 5 star, but the ending pissed be off to be frank. I wanted to know what the dad thought of everything that had happened. Now, I will rewrite and will add the missing stars if I get to the next book and find out the missing answers.

Other than that gripe, this story had me laughing and feeling. Had me wanting to curse out ol grumpy self-centered daddy dearest. Awesome story!!!!

Great story

This was a great story however I hate the fact that the nerdy girl is described so obnoxiously……..smart, nerdy girls don’t all have black frames glasses with tape!! Come on!! This young lady could have still been nerdy without pig tails and glasses.

okay

I enjoyed narrators but overall I felt like the book was okay that I enjoyed the first one more I'm curious on the second book. however I am unsure if I will get it just due to this book being disappointing. it is a semi cliffhanger . it completes their relationship story however opens another story.

the nerd and the jock

Oh, Henry is a great romantic story with some humor, some heat, football, heartbreak and a very controlling father!

The storyline is good and the narrators are as well!

The belle of the beefcake ball!

The heroine: Elle - she is a certified genius who graduated high school at 13 and has lived a crazy life. She is now 19 and at college and bought a raffle ticket to win a date with Henry Walton. She wanted him to show her a good time and he did. Though she dumps him weeks later. She doesn’t see them as compatible. She needs someone with more in common and someone she can talk to and someone who would be there when things get difficult.

The Hero: Henry - He is 6’5”, 280 pounds and gorgeous. He is one of four heirs to the Walton fortune and is slated to be the top draft pick in the next NFL draft. He can’t believe it when Elle rejects him. He thinks he is a catch and that any woman would want to be him. He is great in bed and an all around fun guy.

The Story: After being dumped by Elle, Henry finds that he liked her more than he thought. Then when he gets in a slump on the field, he thinks she must be his good luck charm and is determined to get her back.

The book is told in dual points of view via dual narration. The narration was done by Tristan James and Lauren Sweet. I like Tristan’s voice when he is doing male characters, but his female voice grates on my nerves, so I really wish this one was done in duet narration. Lauren had a good male voice but I didn’t really like her regular voice.

I love the new adult sports romance. Though I wish this one was a bit longer and started when the Elle and Henry first met instead of weeks later when she dumps him. I love the first meeting in a romance novel and I don’t like second chance romances. Though I wouldn’t really consider this second chance. I have loved this OHellNo series. I have read 4 of the 7 so far, not including this one and I love Mimi Jean Pamfiloff’s sense of humor.

This book was very interesting and I loved the characters. Henry bothered me at first, but that was intentional, since he was pretty self absorbed and had some growing up to do. Which he did throughout the story. I thought Elle was a bit of a downer at the beginning until I began to understand her situation more. I ended up really liking both of them. There was also some quirkiness about this story that was so great.

completely unrealistic

absolutely. nothing in this book was realistic. it felt more like a young adult novel, but the details of the sexual encounters would be inappropriate for young adults. not worth spending your time reading.

Wow did I really waste my time?

Yes, yes I did.

If it wasnt for having repeat characters from book one and getting a bit of them in that book I would have stopped this crap soon after it started.

I think I lost brain cells with listening to this.
