Publisher's summary

The Christmas season always puts a smile on Jenna McFadden's face. Even though she's bringing a boyfriend home for the first time, inside she's dying to see Andrew. Years ago, when the McFaddens took the troubled teen into their home, Jenna had to keep her blazing-hot crush a secret. And now that he's playing pro hockey for the NHL's Chicago Aces, nothing's changed. With his wide shoulders and taut muscles, Andrew's the most tempting package in the house...one that Jenna's dying to unwrap.

Andrew Ross just can't make a play for Jenna. Her dad and brothers wouldn't approve, and he could never betray the trust of the wonderful people who treated him like family when he lost his own. That's what makes the holidays so hard. Whether Jenna's skating with Andrew on a frozen pond or sitting on his lap while he plays Santa, she's pushing all their boundaries, and there's only so much a man can take. Andrew knows that she's off-limits, but something deep down tells him that Jenna's heart is the one prize he simply has to win.

Critic reviews

" Off Limits has everything I love from one of my favorite authors: well-written characters, a hot hockey-playing hero, and heat." (Sophia Henry, author of Delayed Penalty)

Female narrator annoying

This female narrator is so whiney sounding that it gets really annoying. I skip a lot of her chapters!

Second Book Better Than First

I enjoyed the second book in this series more than the first. The characters are more developed, and the secondary characters add dimension to the story. The main characters' families are a great addition. It's a sweet Christmas romance but is best as part of the full series. Narration is good and since this book is even better than the first, I'll keep reading the series.

Good hockey romance

Short and sweet. This was a good holiday novella in the Aces series. Andrew and Jenna grew up together. Andrew moved in with Jenna's family when he lost his own family. He wouldn't ever do anything to push this family away and that includes going after the love of his life. After years apart, Andrew and Jenna spend the holidays together and they can't fight the feelings between them anymore. This is a good short holiday story set in the Aces world. It was a good story.

The narrators did a good job.

Andrew and Jenna

Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell are spectacular. I enjoyed listening to them bring these sweet characters to life. This is a short, sweet, endearing, and romantic story. I enjoyed every single second of it.

Great story

Oh my these two will capture your heart. This story is all romance with the smallest amount of hockey. I like how the author kept going into their past to highlight the events of present day. Now I am on to Army's book.

Okay

This was a sweet story. However, it was nothing special. I felt like the story was not developed properly. It took too long for Andrew and Jenna to get together. I got his reason while he was younger, but he reasons while they were now adults was a little u necessarily drawn out in the book. The ending was too long. I felt like the author needed to end it at the New Years part, but she continued just to set the reader up for the next book which I felt too away from the story.
