Publisher's Summary

When she agreed to go on a date with quantum physicist Dr. David Fergusson, Kate Kallastad never expected that he would insist on demonstrating his breakthrough in the creation of a trans-space teleportation device. Nor did she expect to get caught up in a science experiment that would send both Kate and her date back in time.

Stranded in the past with nothing but time on her hands, Kate accepts a job as a maid in the household of the gorgeous, commanding earl of Harrowby - a man unlike any she's ever met before.

Brandon Ryder, the earl of Harrowby, has spent a lifetime bound by the rules of society, and one of those rules is that a gentleman doesn't trifle with the help. However, Kate Kallastad is no ordinary employee. His lovely new maid challenges him at every turn, astounding him with her audacity to treat him not as an earl but as a mere mortal man. Kate's honesty and comfortable familiarity dares Brandon to break free of boundaries that have long ruled him, enticing him to indulge in the truest passion of his life...and his growing passion for her.

wonderful! but....

If you're looking for a typical Time Travel or a typical Historical Romance then this isn't quite it. It is a pretty good melding of the two... yet lacking the stuff I really love about that time in London Society pieces and yet not gritty or meaty enough to be a time travel sci-fi piece either. I don't mean to say that it was less then wonderful... In its own way it really was! However it managed to cross both genres so lightheartedly that it left me kind of floundering on my response to it.
The characters are very real and the settings spring to life. The plot was good and the writting enjoyable. Somehow there is still "something" about it I can't quite put my finger on.

NARRATOR: I LOVE Anthony Ferguson!!! He can do NO wrong!

CREDITWORTHY? Hmm... I wouldn't use my very last credit on it but I don't regret using the one that I did either.

HEAT FACTOR : Steamy!

Not Great But Good

I liked the story but the ending was just "meh" for me. Kate was likeable enough. She did have some non 21st century behavioral moments that left me thinking "oh hell no". Some characters were introduced that I felt didn't add anything to the story. I liked Harrowby and I loved seeing him loosen up with Kate's help.

antony ferguson's american accent is always entertainment. there were times where in kate's dialogue his british accent came out but knowing that the american accent isn't his strong suit i was happy with his performance.

Love the narrator!

Would you listen to Nothing but Time again? Why?

My first book of the author, Angeline Fortin but I will be purchasing more of this author I love her story and the characters. Time travel novels are a favorite of mine. I would recommend this one to anyone who loves time travel too Antony Ferguson brought the characters to life. Excellent narrator!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I couldn't put it down. Spent the whole day listening.

ok

Where I enjoyed listening to Antony Ferguson narrating "Nothing but Time", the story was ok. I was expecting more of a light summer listen. Instead this brought tears of sadness and some smiles. This is a time travel book. And it does tell how women of 1876 were treated. And is a HEA. Angeline Fortin does an excellent job of researching her material which I find interesting and her sex scenes are sizzling. I have mixed feelings about this audiobook. I'm glad I listened from the Romance Package instead of a credit.

Narrator

Good story but the narrator doesn’t do a woman’s voice well at all. He has done more of these books by Angelina Fortin. And didn’t care for the voice at all

Pleasantly Surprised

I was pleasantly surprised to find that Mr. Ferguson does British accents much better than Scottish and so did not distract from the story as he had in a previous audio book by the same author.

This is the most complicated (pleasantly so) of the series so far and kept me frustratingly guessing until the very last.

Definitely worth the TIME!!!

Good book, wrong narrator

The story was good and I am sure the romance scenes would have been oh-so-steamy if the narrator had not read them like the book was a documentary. Further, the narrator’s intonations were off and he made Kate, who was from Minnesota, sound like she was from the deep woods of Alabama. I read another book he narrated a couple of months ago and he made all the women in that one sound like country rednecks too.

Story great

Loved the storyline but I prefer k. Potter narration from your other books. Sometimes it sounded like just one character talking not much change in narrator's voice
