Publisher's summary

Trapped in a marriage since the age of 21, Malinda May is finally free. Having lost her biker husband, she is determined to keep her two teenage children as far away from the MC lifestyle as possible, a lifestyle which has brought her nothing but heartache and fear.

Life is never that simple.

Relentless in their mission to prove to Malinda that not all bikers are bad, the Hawks' women are determined to support Malinda and her family, whether she wants it or not. In her struggle to keep her distance, Malinda soon battles her desire to keep her family safe or relent and begin to trust the MC.

Tired of women and their mind games, Declan Stoke knows women are only good for keeping his bed warm for a night. Having once thought he'd found the one, he's no longer willing to put his heart on the line. Even when faced with the temptation of a wounded, sexy woman, he steers clear...well, tries to.

Malinda and Stoke find themselves at an impasse, one seemingly impossible to navigate through. With trouble brewing, life is going to get complicated, and, for Malinda, she's trapped with no way out.

I read the book too many times to count so listening to it was a geat treat.

I highly recommend the book and the series. The women are funny as hell and the men are alpha men with a heart .

Melinda and Stoke

A fantastic story. Melinda went through a lot but in walks Stoke and her world turns upside down and so much better. No one in the Hawks MC even knew she existed until the funeral of another Hawks member. I loved how they all banned together to integrate her into the fold. I enjoyed this story the first time I read it, and loved it when even more listening to it. Narration was fantastic.

MC HEA with a touch of voyeurism

Stokes finally gets to be the lucky one. The Hawks are shocked to find that Tank has been hiding the info that he had a family. When he is killed dealing outside the Hawks, Melinda and her kids Nari & Josh come to their attention. Especially Stokes. Touch of voyeurism in this one. Still good for a sexy time out.
Evans & Casteri handle the narration well with an Aussie accent.

love the story needs better narrator's

this series is really good and I love all the books I just wish we had better narrator's. the woman narrator is really slow in her speaking and she pauses when she really shouldn't. i had to move my speed up high to get into the story with the voice's. wish they could redo all these books with better voices. the males voice needs to be deeper stronger for biker dudes. but really love the story.

Blended family that includes several bikers

I like the story line and how all the previous books carry into the next. I liked this book as Malinda had teen children so Stoke had a harder time gaining their trust and he does not give up. I like the series and wished all of them would have been included with membership as I cannot afford all of the books that are not included with membership. I like and find the female narrator’s voice is soothing and though the male voice would have been better to have a man with a deep rumbling plane

Her second biker love...

This audiobook is the fourth in the Ballarat Hawks MC chapter, dealing with a widow of a Hawk biker and her two children. Stokes sees her at the funeral of the dead biker, who no one really was close to. He’s attracted to her, without knowing that she had been in an abusive relationship for many years. The Hawks ladies take her in and Stokes moves into her house because the brother of the dead guy is looking for something and is violent in wanting it, believing she knows where it is (which she doesn’t). I gave this story a little less of a rating because I found it a bit confusing at times. We never find out what he was looking for, names get confusing, etc... The story does fit in well with the series, I just didn’t connect as well. There was also a voyeurism component that I didn’t enjoy between the couple and his best friend & his wife. It really wasn’t adding anything to story. Narration was well done.
