Excellent! Great Series From A Favorite Author

What did you love best about No Place to Run?

The base of the story is really intriguing and kept my attention throughout.

If you’ve listened to books by Maya Banks before, how does this one compare?

It is just behind the Sweet Series which I love.

Which character – as performed by Harry Berkeley – was your favorite?

Sam-Harry Berkeley does an excellent job with all characters.

Any additional comments?

NOTE: Strong language & sexual/adult content

GREAT ! BETTER THAN BOOK 1 - keep reading!

Great follow up , book 2 so much better than book 1. Was hoping for that and Maya did it well! Anxious now for book 3. The series is getting better. Lots of passion and lots of action, my kind of book !

These opposites learn a valuable lesson

One comes from a family that's so dysfunctional, that the child sees their own parent murder, like it was business as usual. On the other hand, the other one comes from a family of love, devotion, caring genuinely for their fellow person. And so these opposite ppl are attracted to one another and each will experience that old saying, "Never judge a book by its cover." Things aren't always as they seem. Be ready for secrets galore, lots of lovemaking, espionage oh yeah, and of course so much action. I think I actually teared up at the end.

I'm not sure if I've ever read this author's work before, but I do know, this wont be my last time. Harry Berkeley does an excellent job as narrator, in bring this book life. I certainly do recommend this book.

My favorite KGI story

Not sure how I missed this one before … I’ve read most of the rest of the series … but the character development is so good here, and the story so well plotted, that this is definitely my favorite - in a series that was already very good! The heroine is not weak or simpering - nor is she GI Jane. The hero is a strong force, but capable of both mistakes and compassion. And of course, it is the Kelly family that pulls it together. A great escape read!!

Much much better than Book 1! Whew!

There were only two things I took issue with in this book.
1- The beginning had a ridiculously long sex scene that became tedious rather than exciting.
2- The story arc on Sophie's ultimate release, was a lazy out, and should have had more explanation of the passage of time it took for Thomas' vengeance.
Overall the story had substance and heart, and is a much better story than the first one. I found myself laughing, being anxious, and smiling in all the right places.
I highly recommend it. Thanks, MB.
