Publisher's summary

When lingerie heiress Brandy Summer gets cold feet and runs out on her Vegas wedding, she has nowhere to turn, so she hijacks a hunky biker waiting for a red light and begs him for help. What she doesn't know is that her instincts are right: the groom has a hidden agenda. He needs her money to pay off his gambling debts, and she's his ticket to the good life.

Marco Vargas isn't sure what he's getting himself into when he rescues Brandy, but figures he'll do the chivalrous thing. He offers her a job in his bar and the chance to sort out her feelings. But it seems that keeping Brandy hidden is easier than keeping his hands off her - and what will happen when Brandy discovers that Marco has secrets of his own?

Good Story... Bad Narrator!

I agree with the other reviewers that this was a good story, albeit a little predictible. However, the narrator was simply atrocious! She had no idea how to differentiate between characters, so Marco frequently came off sounding like a whinny girl rather than a hot, Latin hunk. She occasionally tried to incorporate a couple of accents (British and Spanish), but they were even worse than her regular voice! If the narrator either makes or breaks the story for you, definitely go for this book in print. It is a shame that the screening process for audio-book narrators does not weed out people who have neither the talent nor the voice for the job.

laughed so hard I cried

I normally get books that last at least 10 or more hours. i saw this one and was desperate and thought ok ill bite.I am so glad I did! I havent laughed so hard at a book in a long time. This book was well worth the money i spent on it. You start out laughing and end laughing. The characters in this book are both strong and insecure ,but they both have you laughing. i didnt spend much time rolling my eyes.(most book i find a few places that i do that). just one or two when they were spending to much time doubting themselves. So if you are looking for a short but funny listen this is one i would sell.

A Light Romance

When I say light I mean light. The story was ok. Nothing to get excited about, something to while the time away. I was hoping for it to be funny, and maybe for some people it will be. Starts with a runaway bride, who hooks up with a bar owner with a secret pass. (Nothing earth shattering.) Being in Las Vegas I was hoping for hit men, or something to do with CSI....lol. The most interesting character was the jilted groom, who needed to be fleshed out more, he could have been a real baddie, but in essence he was a tame baddie.

Not a bad story, one to listen to while doing errands, or at a kids soccer game, or just when you are plain bored.

For $8.97 it was a bargin.

Wow!

I truly was NOT expecting to love this book, but I did. The plot was great, intricate without being confusing... interesting without being contrived.

My only real complaint is that the one “accented “ male usually sounded Australian instead of British. Kind of distracting... but not in a way that completely ruined anything.

The sex... good, the steamy relationship between the h&h was well done without ever being crass.

Totally worth both my time and money or credit.
