SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH KAYLEE CAVANAUGH

She doesn't see dead people, but...

She senses when someone near her is about to die. And when that happens, a force beyond her control compels her to scream bloody murder. Literally.

Kaylee just wants to enjoy having caught the attention of the hottest guy in school. But a normal date is hard to come by when Nash seems to know more about her need to scream than she does. And when classmates start dropping dead for no apparent reason, only Kaylee knows who'll be next.

Makes the time fly by

I listen to audiobooks when I workout and this one made the time fly by. I got so swept up in the story that I would be caught off guard when the time hit zero. Definitely happy I found this series.

Not what I had expected after the prequel

Any additional comments?

I listened to the prequel before reading this book and I had loved it. I thought it would be about "mutants", psychics, or perhaps angels & demons. So I didn't expect what this book was actually about. It was a little juvenile which if you are in high school then it should be a good read! However, I won't be continuing with the series. It was interesting enough that I enjoyed listening to it and I completed the book. The performance was pretty good. I did look forward to listening to the book so please don't consider this review as a negative one. I just enjoy a little more of a mature YA book. I listen to YA because I like PG books, just because I am an adult does not mean I want to listen to books that include rape or drug use. If you enjoy stories with characters in high school then this is a great book. Just won't be continuing the series but I enjoyed it while I listened.

ANSWERS!!!

Great follow up for those who read the 0.5 book. Kaylee was finely given some answers to her "problem". Along with several great pieces of info for the murders at hand. We also fine out more about her past. It will be interesting to see what direction Vincent take Kaylee.

Narration is great as well. Ms. Ronconi has great feeling in her reads.

All around good book.

Entertaining but insta-love ridden

Interesting idea, will probably read the next one, though the romance is dumb and too quick to be believable, hopefully they move past it in the next ones...

Must be a YA

While Young Adult is fine and the story was good, I will pass this one on for something else.

I hate Tod's voice

What three words best describe Amanda Ronconi’s performance?
Great except for Tod. His voice is specifically described as "smooth," yet the narrator gives him a croaky, just-woke- up voice. He's my favorite character, but he has the worst voice.

Love this story.

I read these while they were coming out new on kindle. I loved them so much I thought it would be fun to listen to them (especially since I only paid $4 for them.)

I did have a couple stupid little issues. I hate how she depicts Todd's voice. I know it's a stupid little thing but the voice doesn't come near describing the goof he is in the series and for some reason it really bugged me.

I also hate when music and sound effects are added. I really think that detracts from the books. I almost didn't get it because of it. But I'm glad I over looked the music (which thankfully was only at the beginning and the end) and got it anyways. Such a great story.

Surprisingly Good

Kaylee Cavanaugh knows there is something wrong with her. Maybe she's even dying. She can definitely tell when people around her are about to die. Unfortunately, all she can do when she senses their imminent death is scream at the top of her lungs. And now, Kaylee's caught the attention of the hottest guy in school and she can't even enjoy it because teenage girls are dropping dead all around her. I won't go into exactly what Kaylee's powers are so that I don't spoil it for anybody who decides to listen.

I just finished listening to this book and really enjoyed it. It's definitely a teen book but it was fun. Once the story got to going, I wanted to sit in the driveway and keep listening to the book. It's narrated by Amanda Ronconi. She was fantastic. I think half of what made this such a good listen was her narrating skills.

Wanted more

This is a fun book written for those of us who enjoy “the undead”. I was sorry it ended and would love more like this.

Fast paced and interesting

This book moved quickly and didn't have any boring moments so it was easy to get through it all at once. There aren't many stories about banshees, so I enjoyed seeing this take on the legend.
