Publisher's Summary

When Grace's job sends her to Scotland with her young son in tow, she meets the mysterious Eoghanan McMillan. She falls for him quickly but, after a spell sends them back in time to the 17th century, Grace is forced to accept the truth about him. Will their love for one another be enough to make her stay in a time so different from her own? Or will she sacrifice a future with the man she loves to give her son a life of normalcy? In the end, the decision may not be hers to make.

For Jeffrey, life in the 17th century isn't the thrilling change of pace he'd hoped. With women so different from himself, his chance of finding a woman is small. If only Morna could work her magic for him like she has done for others. Kathleen's life is changing. With enough money now saved to fulfill her dream of restoring the castle she inherited, her job as housemaid is ending. All she wants now is to get to Scotland. Little does she know that a move isn't the only change life has in store.

Jane has many dreams, but living in the 17th century isn't one of them. Castle life doesn't suit her, so she takes work at the village inn to fill her time. One frigid evening, she takes in the most infuriating man, never suspecting that he could be the one her soul hungers for. Adwen doesn't want to be laird. He wants to spend his days as a penniless wanderer not take on the responsibilities handed to him by his father. On his last night of freedom, he stops at the inn and meets the only lass to ever deny his advances, bewitching him in an instant. He realizes responsibility might not be a life spent in chains if he has a fiery lass like Jane by his side.

Gillian dreams of the same man every night, but when she starts to hear his voice in the winds around Cagair Castle, she can't help but wonder if he's more than a figment of her imagination.

Missing Chapter 28

I fell in love with this series quickly. The storyline is great & I appreciate that each story possesses its own plot. The only frustrating thing about this set is that it is missing chapter 28. It goes from chapter 27 to chapter 18 & then moves on to chapter 29. The worst part is that it's obvious something important happens in chapter 28, but you don't know the details. Please fix this! Otherwise, this is a great series!

A great sequel of stories to the first set.

Loved the stories and characters. There were refreshing surprises. Lily also does a great job with voices. My only complaint is that one chapter is repeated and I got a sense that in its place, I missed what was supposed to be there. Hopefully an easy fix for audible.

Classic- taking of a good thing and ruining it!

This is NOT to be compared to Outlander. The ONLY COMPARISON is Time Travel... alright ... 2 things... & Scotland..
I have rolled my eyes and yawned at the ridiculousness of this book. Shaking my head with the UNNECESSARY addition of MORE LASSIES tramping through time to the 16th century to find a husband.... Come on..... You had a great list of characters to explore and develop - Wow... where is this portal that you can come and go...with no ill effects... bring your dog, all your possessions.... Just too "Crazy" to believe anymore --- This is definitely a promising good story - sabotaged by some crazy notion that the reader wants less of a good story and more of what enticed the reader to begin with until it became nauseating.....
Ok... AFTER that said.... the book ended with SUCH A CLIFFHANGER that I am WHAT????? Where is the next chapter????? This was the Epilogue???/ This CAN NOT be the ending! So... after my rant above... I did not hate the book. I just felt she lost sight of the great cast of characters she started and took a good thing too far so that it became more of a joke than a reality or fantasy. The writer DEFINITELY ended it with such a scene that it CAN NOT be the end of the story... I admit... I want more!!!!

Great story, but missing a chapter

This was a great story, but I got a bit confused when on the last book when I got to Chapter 28 I heard chapter 18 again instead. A bit frustrating because I think I missed an important part of the story, but hopefully they'll fix that. Would love to see another set of books from this author and narrator.

Love this series

Just can't get enough of these stories, hope Bethany can come up with more. Lily Collingwood adds another dimension that I was surprised how much I really enjoyed. I read the series in both box sets before but wanted to listen to the stories and the voices given to the characters. The Scottish accents are wonderful, and hearing the names said correctly ,given my butchery of them, added yet another level.
I love to just relax and listen never would I think listening would be so relaxing and enjoyable. I can't say enough about Bethany's time travel stories and her characters I love the way she brings them together intertwines them in each others stories. The families are connected and come together through marriages and births and some holidays. She does this in such a way we get to continue to visit the characters we have come to love over and over again. I would recommend these books whether you read or listen, to anyone. Read the first and you will be hooked and then listen to one.. I dare you...
