Publisher's Summary

Baseball wasn't supposed to be a game of life and death.

The summer that Chase Stern entered my life, I was 17. The daughter of a legend, the Yankees were my family, their stadium my home, their dugout my workplace. My focus was on the game. Chase started out as a distraction. A distraction with sex appeal poured into every inch of his six-foot frame. A distraction who played like a god and partied like a devil.

I tried to stay away. I couldn't.

Then, the team started losing.

Women started dying.

And everything in my perfect world broke apart.

Great listen! Loved it!

What made the experience of listening to Moonshot the most enjoyable?

I loved the voices and narrator. The voice really fit the story and brought it to life.

What does Samantha Summers bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I both read and listened to this story and I loved how she brought this story to life.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes! I wanted to find out what would happen next!

Any additional comments?

A great audio experience!

A favorite Summer Listen

I went into reading Moonshot expecting a baseball romance. What I found was so very much more than that. The story was fun and flirty, an element of forbidden romance, a great mystery that really engaged and kept me turning pages, and through it all a story of Love, real and true and epic.

"Men had been killed over kisses like that. Careers had been lost. Hearts had been stolen."

Amazing story paired with Amazing narration made for a favorite summer listen!!

2.5 Moonshot Stars

I don’t usually read blurbs if I can help it, I usually go with the feel of a book, for example if I see a ton of people raving about a book then I am not afraid to admit I will pick it up.
I kind of wish I hadn't picked this one up. I know, I know. A ton of people liked it and that’s great for them.

No it has nothing to do with the cheating why I didn't like this book. I just didn't connect with Ty. I enjoy the beginning I thought it was going somewhere it didn't.

I can’t say I hated it because I listened all the way through. I did enjoy the narrator she did an excellent job.
I will end this with, I did enjoyed the end chapter.

Inevitable love

Ty grew up around the baseball diamond. She knew what the men were like at very young age. TY wasn't prepared for Chase Stern, the up and coming player. He sparked something she never felt before, but it was forbidden. Thing spiral out of control, yet these two had an intense connection. But was it enough for them to stay and fight the connection or would they be lost to each other.

This book was a slow burner for me, but once I got in it I couldn't put it down. Loved the audio version of this book too, the emotions the reader gave made it even more spectacular.

Good Read

I enjoyed this one by Ms. Torre. It’s been a while since I read anything from her. It had its typical suspense, romance, struggle. All the things I’ve love about her writing. It wasn’t predictable who the killer was. I was thinking someone else. I was expecting more sex scenes, but then again, most of the book Ty was a teenager. So I guess it was appropriate. I was mad at Ty when she chose her husband. Good story plot though. It was needed.
I loved the ending. Overall a great read. On to the next one.

not my favorite....

I LOVE baseball romances. But this one wasn't a favorite. Narrator was enjoyable and it was a quick read.

*SPOILER*
I hated that the H and h missed so much precious time together. The HEA is appreciated but I felt like I want rooting for Chase in the middle of the book. I hated that I didn't have 1 string H to cheer for. I guess I'm just a gal who likes the expected romance.

realllly good story!

If you could sum up Moonshot in three words, what would they be?

mesmerizing, unique, great.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Moonshot?

when we find out who the killer is ... and so many more.

Which character – as performed by Samantha Summers – was your favorite?

Ty

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

too many to list.

Any additional comments?

I had forgotten what a good writer AT is .. I really enjoyed this book and was surprised it wasn't the typical sports love story .. much more to it than that.

The only downside is there was no male reader .. it's always better to have a male & female narrator.

Good, but not great.

I really, really wanted to love Moonshot. It pains me to write that I didn't. Don't get me wrong, I liked the book but there as just a slight disconnect for me. I liked the characters, the theme, and the narrator. But I didn't love the pace and the book covered two different time periods. Normally, I wouldn't mind this, but I didn't like it here. At times, the pacing was just slow.
