Captivating

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
This continuing saga of the Samuel's family with all of their "extended" relatives is not only captivating but humorous! I find this "story" very entertaining. I have caught myself more than once either choked up, chuckling, or outright laughing.

I’m so sad...

I’m sad that this series is almost over! I read the books years ago and listening to them now is like new all over again. Do not pass up a chance to be apart of this family!

My favorite

Even though I didn't like Mr. Ellis narration I have to say this box set is my favorite. I found so much humor, love and romance with a delightful story line. The author made me feel like these characters were family. I really wish I could go to this town and meet these people.

Mr. Ellis narration isn't very good there are so many repeating of wording, I did not care for his character voices, it was hard for me to follow and know who was talking. There was no emotion, and took me awhile to follow him, he paused when he should not and didn't when he should have.

Mr. Taylor did a good job, no repeating of words, he did give emotion and his character voices were nice. There were no volume changes or background noise. I enjoyed his narration but he still didn't make me believe they were Indians, they sounded just like normal people. I did like the way he delivered it and made me feel the emotions of the characters.

All in all it was a good listen, with enjoyable stories that held my attention. I really felt for the Indians and their live changes. I thought the author really delivered true emotions that really touched your heart. There were times I had to chuckle and other times I was sad. I like how the mail order isn't always true mail order or things do not work out for the ones that wrote to each other. Which made me feel more like this was true and not just a made up story.

Love this series!!

I have thoroughly enjoyed the Montana Mail Order Bride Box Sets. I know it is ending and I find myself going back to listen to parts over again to delay the end coming up. The narration has been the best part of listening. He maintains the same distinctive voice for each character all the way through and you know who is speaking. Even the women's voices are easy to recognize as the female character who is speaking all the way through the book. These books draw me in and I feel as if I am there enjoying a meal or any gathering. I laughed when it was funny and had tears in the sad parts.
I recommend these box sets to anyone looking for a book that is part of an ongoing story or can be read as a stand alone story and you can understand some of the past books because there is usually just enough of a back story explained that you are not lost.
I truly love these kinds of books and it is rare to find those that will hold my interest through 23 books. I am moving on to the last two books now and I am excited and sad at the same time.

Montana mailorder brides books 19,20,21

Book 19 edwina and Randall
Book 20 penny and Matt
Book 21 Tom and ivy

My favorite out of these 3 stories is the story of edwina and Randall. This was just a very funny story and they were both kind of ornery and promiscuous. Kudos awesome job
