Warm. Charming. Clean. Read in series order.

Delightful. Charming. Story driven. Third narrator for series. Read/listen in order. Clean/sexless, but still passionate.

I recommend doing this series in order, even while each book offers a complete stand alone plot, because the characters from the earliest volumes in the series are charming and you can follow their lives through multiple generations as the series goes forward in time. The characters of earlier books continue to appear (in secondary roles) in this sweet, clean, fun Western mail order tale, with occasional historic inaccuracies and plot linear bumps. Series is circa 1860 based on content references, i.e. opening of Northewestern College of Law.

Book 16 – Westward Joy. Rachel, adopted daughter of Sherrif Mitch and Sammie, returns to Dawson after running away amid scandal and shame. Will Foster, brother to Dean Samuel's son-in-law, is the main reason she comes home. Instantly, they are attracted to one another, but jealousy and anger may pull them apart as the holiday season approaches.

Book 17 – Westward Courage. Cassie Sebastian is a rich socialite—until the sudden deaths of her family. Forced to find a rich husband to support herself, she answers an advertisement from Caleb Benson, whom she thinks is well-to-do. Their unlikely romance seems to thrive until tragedy strikes and threatens to tear the two lovers apart forever. Far more actively Christian that previous books in series.

Book 18 – Westward Spirit. When Bryn Maddox and Dr. Mike Samuels meet, their attraction is immediate. He’s more than she could ever have hoped for in a man and she’s everything he ever dreamed of in a woman. Love this series

The stories were interesting and make you want to go to this town and meet the people and see the town. It is a sweet clean romance filled with smiles, laughs, heart break and passion. I really enjoyed them but the first and last narrator is lacking, no emotion, no passion, There are a few places he repeats words, I didn't care for his character voices, it was hard to tell who was talking and what they were feeling. There was no volume change, no background noise. I really thought he took away from the story.

The middle did a good job, no repeating of words, he did give emotion and his character voices were nice. There were no volume changes or background noise. I enjoyed his narration but he still didn't make me believe they were Indians, they sounded just like normal people. I did like the way he delivered it and made me feel the emotions of the characters.

All in all it was a good listen, with enjoyable stories that held my attention. I really felt for the Indians and their live change. I thought the author really delivered true emotions that really touched your heart. There were times I had to chuckle and other times I was sad. I like how the mail order isn't always true mail order or things do not work out for the ones that wrote to each other. Which made me feel more like this was true and not just a made up story.

Heart touching yet funny....

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
As this series continues it only get better & better! All of the trials & tribulations of the "blended families" is such a joy to listen to! I'm going to be sad when I reach the end of the series & unfortunately that's coming soon!

Book 16 Rachel and will.
Book 17 Cassie and Caleb
Book 18 brynn and mike

As always all of them were very good, but my favorite was the story of brynn and mike and their obstacles that they must overcome.

Great story, terrible audio editing

You hear all of the mess ups on the audio. you even hear the narrator say, “let’s do that part again” and “oh that was the end”. There are a lot of repeated words and glitches.

The story is great and I still love these characters. The narrator himself was actually a great story teller/performer... but the editing process was terrible.

Narration is great

In these love doesn’t run smoothly, with the expectation of family strife, jealousy, needing a rich husband. The drama, the love, makes each of this a joy to read, and live happily ever after hopefully.
The narration by Jim Ellis and Alan Taylor added so much to the story their narration was great
