Very good despite the narration

I love this author. Every book has been excellent. The female narrator is great in this one but I couldn’t handle the male narrator. I actually just read past those areas where he narrated. I strongly advise getting the Kindle version and just reading that part.

same old story different format l

the man's narrator sounds really old minus 1 . This story I've read before but usually college professor and student not high school so minus 1 for same old story different format. The student is 18 but high school teacher makes it more forbidden . sex scenes where good epilogue was good . Free audio good if you have too pay then skip it

Amazing

Tear-jerker with a HEA

The narrators were only okay. Both had a hard time voicing th opposite sex. Definitely heartbreaking at times but had a nice HEA

Taboo!

This is my first Charleigh Rose book, thank you Fiona Cole for pointing me in her direction! I’m hooked!
I can’t say enough about this book. The writing was so good, it sucks you right in. The character development-totally on point, the plot-perfectly unpredictable with enough twists and subplot to keep the reader totally engrossed. I loved and hated each character, except for Christian, I just loved him all the time!
If you’re looking for a naughty little teacher student romance, this isn’t it. If you’re looking for something raw and boundary pushing that will reach in, grip your heart and twist, this is your book! I’m truly looking forward to delving into more of Ms. Rose’s work, after I finish recovering from this one!

Felt like a cheap knock off of Dark Notes

I love taboo books. I was so excited when I seen this story about a student and teacher. I was hoping for an original story, however it felt like a cheap knock off of Dark Notes by Pam Godwin. I say knock off because it felt like she was trying to follow the same storyline, but it fell so flat. It was predictable to a laughing amount and the narrators were not a good fit at all. They both sounded so much older than the characters ages, and the male’s voice was not sexy at all.

Loved the characters!

Mr. James was so hot! I loved his story and his character, and love Remi too. Others said the male narrator ruined this audiobook, but I disagree. He was definitely the wrong choice, since he sounds 60 instead of 25-30, but it didn’t ruin the book for me. I couldn’t stop listening, and thought it was a steamy, forbidden story.

Great student-teacher romance, okay narration. 4⭐️

This was my first book by Charleigh Rose and it made a complete fan out of me. The characters are vibrant, real, and relatable. The story is excruciating in the best way. It tugged at every emotion I had and had me devouring the pages as fast as I possible could. Beautifully tragic and deliciously dirty. That's what this book is, but it's also so, so much more.

I completely loved the characters in the book. Remi is such an awesome character. Such a great contrast between teenage angst and an old soul. Pierce is just EVERYTHING. He’s sexy, brooding and forbidden. The connection between Remi and Pierce is genuine and palpable. And don’t even get me started on the sexual tension because wow! Charleigh Rose puts a fresh spin on the student/teacher romance tripe with her special brand of likable a-hole characters, touches of humor, and a love story that feels real. Add in a few secrets and twist and you’ve got a story you can’t miss.

Narration was by done by Ramona Master and Mark Kamish. It was my first time listening to both narrators, but I enjoyed their narration. Ramona Masters did a great job as Remi. She sounded youthful without coming off as childish and brought out Remi’s vulnerability and strength. Mark Kamish as Pierce was good. Honestly, he felt a bit too old for the character with was a bit distracting, but I soon found myself lost in the character and story and so he won me over. 4 Stars.

Loved it

I love the teacher-student dynamic and this story does it justice. It checks the boxes. It’s sexy with a serious plot.
