Publisher's Summary

When an unexpected inheritance elevates her family to the ranks of the aristocracy, Amelia Hathaway discovers that tending to her younger sisters and wayward brother was easy compared to navigating the intricacies of the ton. Even more challenging: the attraction she feels for the tall, dark, and dangerously handsome Cam Rohan.

Wealthy beyond most men's dreams, Cam has tired of society's petty restrictions and longs to return to his "uncivilized" Gypsy roots. When the delectable Amelia appeals to him for help, he intends to offer only friendship - but intentions are no match for the desire that blindsides them both. But can a man who spurns tradition be tempted into that most time-honored arrangement: marriage? Life in London society is about to get a whole lot hotter....

Critic Reviews

"The author's sensitivity to the prejudice endured by the Roma (Gypsies) adds a measure of grim reality that is creatively offset by Rohan's discussion of Roma beliefs and superstitions. Kleypas's effortless style makes for another sexy exploration of 19th-century passion and peccadilloes, riveting from start to finish." (Publishers Weekly)

It's different from the book - but not abridged

It's like the whole book is here because it's almost 10 hrs long, the only thing is the Christopher Frost in the book is Amelia's old fiance' and he pops up throughout the entire book and is a problem in the end. In this version Amelia meets Christopher Frost in the last hour of the narrated book and only knows him as one of her brother's friends. The story is a great story, but without it being read how it truly is written it comes up just a tad bit lacking. When you've read it you expect it, but those of you haven't read the book, it does not deter from the story and you will enjoy it very much. I just found it odd....

Missing part of the story. NOT unabridged

Any additional comments?

Disappointed that part of Amelia's story line is missing, or has been altered concerning her former relationship with Christopher Frost.

Abridged version - buyer beware

What disappointed you about Mine Till Midnight?

This book was misrepresented. It is an abridged version although it was advertised as unabridged.

What was most disappointing about Lisa Kleypas???s story?

Amelia's back story is missing in this version.

Any additional comments?

I think Audiable should take responsibility for false advertising

Love Cam & Amelia's Story

I love Cam & Amelia's story, and was so happy that Cam got his own book. However, even though this says it's "unabridged," it seems like it is an abridged version, as it leaves out a whole sub-plot from the paperback version of the book involved Christopher Frost, and only puts him in as a minor character towards the end of the book. Otherwise, it's a wonderful book and I thoroughly enjoyed. Listed to it twice and read it twice!! I'll eventually do the same with the other Hathaway books. Leo and Cat's story is my second favorite, as it's fun to see how they progress through the books.

The First and the Best of the Hathaways

I adore Lisa Kleypas, my favorite romance author by far and this is one of the best of the best. The only one to top it in my opinion is: Dreaming of You...
The stories may be a little dark at times, but always there is a ray of laughter/love/hope that runs through it all that keeps you coming back for more and more.

Cam&Amelia THEY'VE CUT YOUR STORY.

What did you like best about Mine Till Midnight? What did you like least?

Anytime Cam and Amelia were together. Awesome. So very, very disappointed when I realized this was not the unabridged version as advertised.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

The relationships between these two, very different, ethnicities and how comfortable Amelia was with Cam, and with herself. I also enjoyed the strong family ties between all the Hathaway's and Merripen.

What about Rosalyn Landor’s performance did you like?

I just enjoy listening to her.

Do you think Mine Till Midnight needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

With Cam & Amelia, a good story and their steamy romance? Who wouldn't?

Any additional comments?

I've really enjoyed listening to Lisa Kleypas historical novels. The Wallflower series and The Hathaway series are both pretty good. The real version would have been so much better. Yes, there were things that could have been cut, I guess, but, DID THEY HAVE TO TAKE OUT SUCH A SIGNIFIGANT PLOT LINE?????? Please don't tease people; update your webpage and remove the 'unabridged' tag from this audio book.

WARNING: You may not be able to put this book down

I really enjoyed this book. It features love in all it's forms: new romantic love, old romantic love, lost love, sibling love/rivalry. The relationship between Amelia & Cam is charged from the very beginning. He needs something different from the over-experienced courtesans he usually spends time with, and even though she won't admit it to herself or anyone else, Amelia needs someone to help her herd the unruly siblings she's essentially been left in charge of. Its very easy to sympathize with all of these characters...even Amelia, who's stubbornness you would expect to find annoying, but actually seems understandable.

Rosalyn Landor is an excellent reader. She does a great job giving each character her/his own voice and in her narrator's voice.

Even a spinster can find love

Lisa Kleypas is one of my favs! I never really cared for historical romance novels until I started reading her books. (Thank you Lisa)

This is one of my favorites (and my 2nd time listening). I love how the story of Amelia and Cam unfolds. They both have such a strong connection to one another and want to be together despite the obstacles (he’s half Roma and she’s considered a spinster) I absolutely loved Cam. He knew what he wanted and wasn’t afraid to go after it. Sigh…

This book has everything – good story, romance, mystery, humor (the Hathaways crack me up) and a HEA.

Definitely worth a credit, but grab it while it's on sale. You won't be disappointed.
