Publisher's Summary

Some vampires have trouble figuring out how they want to spend eternity, but playboy Michael Odell isn't one of them. He knows exactly what he wants: fine wines and beautiful women fuel his passion and he's made it his mission to sample as many of either as he can. Fate has other ideas. One night, on his way home, Michael discovers a woman lying face-down in an alley, who is losing the fight to live. There's only one way of saving her: The Ritual. Little does Michael know that this little act of mercy is going to change his life forever and before long he finds himself falling for the curvy stranger.

Anna doesn't remember how she ended up discarded at death's door in a dark alley, only that she woke up there. She doesn't even know her last name. After coming face-to-face with her gorgeous rescuer, she passes out again and finds herself in a lavish mansion with a new lease on eternal life.

Who - or more importantly, what - is she now? And the people who tried to kill her - why were they after her? Anna is determined to figure it all out for herself. But before her questions are answered, she has to learn that even in this new immortal existence, it's good to have friends - and perhaps a lover - by your side.

All books in the Vampires of London series are standalone.

    "What i am a vampire?"

I enjoyed this story greatly. I loved the characters and Gethyn Edwards did a great job narrating. This is book 2 of this series and this is what i started with but i had no problem following the story line. This series has great potential, however my only issue with this book is that it is too short. I would love to have seen more of the fight scenes mixed with the romance. Even though it was short it was very well written. Look forward to more in this series. I received this audio book free in exchange for an honest review..

    "This Story Was Wonderful"

Vampire Michael Odell comes across Anna, an injured human, in a back alley. The smart part of Michael tells him to keep on walking and don’t look back! Against his better judgment Michael does stop and finds Anna is close to death and the only way he can save her is by turning her into a vampire.

Author Lorelei Moone delivers another solid paranormal story. It has action, suspense and humor. Narrator Gethyn Edward was absolutely wonderful. I enjoyed his reading of this short story it was perfection and I hope he narrates all the future books in this series.

This audiobook was given to me at no cost in exchange for an unbiased review, thanks, Audiobook Boom!

I read all kinds of books, but I have an obsession with paranormal and fantasy at the moment. Sorry about any spelling mistakes/typos.

    "I enjoyed it"

I haven't read book 1 and I feel like I'm missing something. In retrospect I should have gotten book 1 and listened to it first, so take my advice and do this series in order! I get the impression that this book contains lots of spoilers for book 1 so that should also be considered.

The world that the story is based in is interesting and I like that there is more than one type of vampire. The characters are interesting and the plot is well designed.

The story was enjoyable and interesting to listen to and I'd like to listen to more books in this series (including book 1).

The character voices were well crafted and the flow and rhythm of the narration are good. It's smooth and well done.

This book was supplied free by the author/narrator/publisher and I voluntarily wrote this honest review.

    "It was a ok listen"

It was an OK listen for in between books. The story and plot where a bit predictable. It needed more exploration into the characters and there story. Over all it wasn't bad. The narration was ok.

I was provided a copy of this book by the author or narrator for a honest review

    Any additional comments?

I liked the story and characters quite a bit. The narrator did a wonderful job with the lovely British accents. It's a short listen and I hope to get more of the story with book 3. If you enjoy vampire romance, this is for you. I voluntarily reviewed this audiobook after receiving an advanced copy.

<br/>This was a well written story about a the male lead Michael, and what happens after he decides to save a damsel in distress.<br/><br/>Anna, the female lead, awakes with no memory of how or why she has been "changed".<br/><br/>Overall an interesting story that was raw and a bit complex , my only issue was that I'm so tired of the man-whores, enough already. I mean the guy is a vampire who has lived a long life we get that he has a had a "few" flings. <br/><br/><br/>Gethyn Edwards did really well with the narration.<br/><br/>Note:<br/>"This audio book was provided by the author, narrator, or publisher at no cost in exchange for an unbiased review."

    "A Good Listen"

I found this book very entertaining. Vampires against vampires is the struggle in this fast paced tale. With well written characters, the tale moves along nicely creating suspense along the way to create an entertaining story. If you're looking a short read, this book will be perfect for you.

    ".Story Of Forbidden Love"

At it's core this story is a good one about forbidden love. I do not feel like the events occured naturally, they felt forced. This may be because the Author did not go into much depth with the characters or the world they are living in. There is only surface information and because of this I did not connect with the characters. I do think this story has tons of potential. What saved it for me was narrator Gethyn Edwards. His voice kept me engaged where asif I were reading the book I believe I would have skimmed through many places. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

    "Very good book!"
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, if my friend liked paranormal romance! I enjoyed listening to it.

Have you listened to any of Gethyn Edwards’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No, I hadn't but I thought it was very well done. I would definitely buy other books done by Gethyn Edwards.

    Any additional comments?

This book is the second in the series. I haven't read the first in the series yet but I plan to. I didn't have any problem listening to this book as a stand alone. It flowed very well and though some things in the previous book were referred to, I didn't feel confused. I hope there will be another one coming soon!<br/>This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.

"Vampire Romance with a touch of suspense"

I personally think the best thing about a series is the fact that the reader gets to visit with characters first encountered in a previous book. Though the subsequent books are often stand alone, there is a sense of continuity and plot development. New characters are introduced, previous characters develop further and change, and the reader finds him/herself committed to the story and the series. The Vampires of London series is much like this. While Lorelei Moone has used some of the traditional characteristics of vampires for her protagonists, she has also made her characters a bit different, allowing the reader to unearth new developments as the series continues.

Michael's Soul Mate is a quick listen, not just because it isn't long, but because it is fast paced. The plot is concentrated into a few short days/nights that take the characters through the streets (and beneath) London as lives and relations change. In fact, the story is about finding one's self and creating the opportunity for new beginnings.

This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.
