Publisher's Summary

The ice is a cold mistress. As the league's most eligible goalie, Max Fournier has access to his fair share of willing puck bunnies, but right now he's more interested in bringing home another championship than a one-night stand. A romantic at heart, Max believes in love; he's just not great at relationships. So when he finally meets a nice girl who's not blinded by his celebrity, he's feeling the heat - and the pressure to save her from herself.

Between working two jobs and raising her sister's kids, Julianne Bradley doesn't have time for sports - or men. All she knows about Max is that he's the sexiest customer to ever grace her gas station counter. And he sees past her tired eyes and makes Jules yearn for things she can't have: a glamorous fling, a passionate lover, and the time to enjoy both. Max makes her feel like Cinderella, even though Jules has enough baggage to crush a glass slipper. Luckily, he's no prince - only a fierce competitor determined to win her heart.

OH MY MAX

This was a very hot heart warming story. Talk about the strong connection between Max and Jules. I ached for the loss if Jules sister but felt all the love Jules gave to her niece and nephews. Max talk about one heck of a good, strong, loving, and patient man. It was plain to see he loved them all! Did I forget the part about Max and Jules how hot they are together? Oh my!!!! Have to say thanks to Sawyer for the audible version. I especially like being able to continue listening to this brilliant love story while doing other things! Thanks Sawyer such a great job!

Max

OMG I think Max Fournier is my new favorite from the Cold Fury! What an amazing man! Gorgeous, hot, sexy, sweet, generous, compassionate........I could just go on and on. And Jules, I can't say enough about her either. It's not often I fall in love with the heroine as well as the hero, but this woman is amazing! Such a beautiful person inside and out. She is completely selfless and it is about time someone wants to take care of her! Love these two together! Love the dynamic with her "kids" so much! What a great family they all make together. All that and of course the sex was hotter than molten lava too!!! Couldn't ask for more!!

Perfect

What did you love best about Max?

Just like the rest of the series this book hit the spot. It's great reading about a non man whore once in a while. Also the heroine was not annoying which is a plus. Can't wait for the next listen.

Five shooting stars!

Jules and Max are a modern day Cinderella and Prince Charming. Honestly, every book in Sawyer Bennett's Carolina Cold Fury series is just fabulous! I'm onto the next... Roman.

Great story for Max!

I really enjoyed this audiobook, the 6th in the Cold Fury hockey series! Our hero is Max, the goalie for the team. He meets the heroine, Jules, when he makes a late evening snack run at a local convenience store where she works as a cashier. He can't stop thinking about her and how exhausted she seemed, but when he goes back there she's never there. Then he runs into her again at the nursing home she works at when he goes there with his coach and a few team members for a charity thing. This begins their friendship, which gradually turns into a romance. All Max wants to do is make her life easier, but raising her sisters children makes her too proud for handouts. The story was sweet and sexy at the same time. Great narration again!

I LOVE HOCKEY!

I really enjoy Ms. Bennett's stories. Yes, they're ultimately romance novels but not mushy ones. They're real characters and I can't help but believe that there is at least one hockey player in the history of the NHL, who fell in love in a similar manner, I choose to believe that ❤️. All her stories are just good love stories, steamy, but a lot of love.

Love me some Cold Fury men!

This was an amazing book!! In this book we get to visit the Cold Fury hockey team again. This is about the smoking hot goalie Max. I really enjoy all of Sawyer's books but my favorite series is this one. I was unable to put this book down and read it in one sitting. I can't wait to read the next one.
