Publisher's summary

Detective Atticus Ware gave up Idaho to start again in the California mountains, close to his imprisoned brother. Although he's found good friends, the experienced Dominant wants more than the "do me" submissives flocking around him. He needs a woman to give her heart, as well as her body.

After Virginia Cunningham exhausts herself propping up a failing relationship, she accepts a social worker job far, far away in a California prison. Invited to observe BDSM classes on a wilderness camping trip, she's shocked - her fiancé had insisted BDSM was a fabrication to sell books. But when Atticus lures her into participating, she learns submission under the hands of a powerful Dom is beyond anything she'd imagined. Nonetheless, she can't permit a relationship - she'd just lose herself again.

Finally, Atticus has found the woman he wants in his life. In his bed. In his cuffs. Only she keeps backing away. Well...if he has to help a little counselor get her head on straight, he's just the Dom for the job.

Could See It Coming

So much suspense and drama. You could see the build up coming and wow the way it exploding. All the relationship building in the past is what led to survival and thriving later on. A beautiful love story with two very strong main characters.

One of the best, but misses a female narrator

Virginia is working in a prison where Atticus brother is a inmate. Gin and Atticus meet when she helps him demonstrate rope play one evening.
I think this was the sweetest of all of Sinclair's books. All the feelings in this book made me cry. At the same time I think this is one of the books that has the least amount of sex scenes, still I loved the book.
The author is a genius writer so I can't stop reading, the style is so light and still hold my interest with topics that are not so light all the time.
The book was exiting, fun, scary and full of emotions.
I love every one of her books and I think this is one of my favourites

Narrator:
Clear pronunciation and read with feelings, but I never got quite used to the voice and I missed the female voice.

Play at 1.1 speed

The narration was horrible. Glad it was included in audible escape, as I would have been disappointed if I paid for it. It was slightly more tolerable at 1.1 speed. Love Cherise’s books though.

Ugh.. What a horrible narrator!

I love Cherish Sinclair’s stories, but I can’t enjoy this one! This narrator is atrocious! All his voices sound the same and he is horrible at figuring out where to put emphasis and his pacing is terrible. Just no.

Narrator was not the right choice for this story

I went into this knowing that others had given the narrator poor reviews. I got it thru the new Romance Package and thought I would give it a try. If I did not like it, I could just remove it from that library. I gave it a try...got to 30% and realized I was not going to be able to stick with it because of the narration. I am from the South and Virginia's southern accent was so exaggerated and slow that it made me cringe. I just looked and this narrator has over 400 books in Audible so he clearly can narrate but I would suggest he stay away from Southern accents moving forward. I am going to buy the ebook and continue the story because Cherise Sinclair has written a wonderful story here and I have to know how it ends.

Master of Freedom-- another awesome book from author Cherise Solinclair

This is my very first audible book. My sister sent it to me. After years of her making fun of my reading. She got interested in books and now hasn't stopped reading. I introduced her to Cherise on my Kindle. And she has taken it from there. So thank you audible for this book and others. Thank you Cherise for the awesome books you write. I shall keep reading and collecting books hopefully for years.
