Another great start to a new series!

Karla Gracey has a way of creating a short story with well developed characters and plots. This book brings us Amelia, who is taking care of her 5 year old brother. Her father and stepmother are never home. Byron, the sheriff of Silver River is looking for a bride. I especially love these books because we get to see the correspondence between the two and how they get to know each other. Once in Montana, Amelia and Byron overcome some obstacles. Another winner.

I am so glad Alan Taylor is narrating this series. His rich baritone voice brings the feeling of the old west to the book. Love his performances.

I need love

This book was not my cup of tea. It was too short and undeveloped when it came to characters and story lines. It was a nice story but I needed more.

Delightful short sweet clean read

Any additional comments?

A new series of a very touching read one lady gave up everything she has to help run her family home and raise her half brother. Leaving her father and step mother to take off running the business and taking trips to see the world why she is left at home with little or no money. What a heartfelt emotional story of one woman who wants it all but can’t because of her duties to her family.

Mr. Taylor does a wonderful job of narration from the many different characters to the feel of emotions. You never are in doubt just who is talking or what they are feeling. I found both his female and male voices to be a delight from the strong male to the soft female you could really feel the pain, sorrow, and happiness he gives them. I heard no background noise or any places where the volume changes. If any breaks where taken I could not tell. His voice is strong and clear giving you a delightful listen. His performance is outstanding from the emotion to his voices he really make the story come alive. He is a very talented narrator that pulls the listener in giving a very vivid listen that you can picture the scenes in your mind.

There isn’t a lot you can say about this without giving the story away. It does have a wonderful plot with wonderful characters. There are family values that mean a lot even a few characters have a lot to learn and learn their lessons well. It was emotional that really pulled on your heartstrings. The author gives you a great ending that makes you wish you were there watching.

Maul order Bride Amelia

Absolutely loved it! Especially the ending! Having been through much of what Amelia went through as she grew up, I could relate to the story. Loved the monkey too!

okay

There isn't much to the story, and I don't know how they went from never seeing each other to suddenly in love. It isn't bad, but it felt like chunks were missing or sparse.
