Publisher's summary

Single dad. Second chances. Meet Mack in the newest standalone novel from New York Times best-selling author, Penelope Ward.

They called him Mack Daddy. No, seriously, his name was Mack. Short for Mackenzie. Thus, the nickname. Perfect, right?

So was he: perfect. The perfect physical male specimen.

At the private school where I taught, Mack Morrison was the only man around in a sea of women.

Everyone wanted a piece of the hot, single father of the sweet little boy.

I became a woman I didn't recognize, someone riddled with jealousy, because they didn't know that - to me - he was much more.

They didn't know about our past.

He'd chosen my school for his son on purpose, because Mack and I, we had unfinished business.

As my friend, Lorelai, so eloquently put it: "Unfinished business between two people who are clearly attracted to each other is like an eternal case of blue balls." And I was suffering in pain from my case.

I was still intensely attracted to Mack. I tried to resist him, immersing myself further into a relationship with someone else just to protect my heart.

Not to mention, getting involved with a parent was strictly against school rules. But seeing Mack day in and day out was breaking me down.

And soon I might be breaking all the rules.

Author's note: Told in alternating points of view, Mack Daddy is a full-length standalone novel.

Can I Be Frankie for a Day?

This story had all the hotness without the juvenile drama -- love it! And how lucky is Frankie that she has two hot guys that want her for life. I love this story because there were grown ups acting like grown ups and handling difficult situations as adults do. This listen had it all flawed characters, developed plot, real conflicts and oh so hot sex. I was sucked in and stayed up late to finish to the very end. Penelope Ward is rising on my list of favorite authors.

Two of my favorite narrators teamed up again to make this another amazing listen. Andi and Sebastian took a good story and made it a wonderful listen. But then they can make almost anything sound good.

Absolutely worth the credit. Looking forward to the next story by Ms. Penelope.

This book is amazing!

Mac and Frankie definitely had ups and down but the twists and turns made for an awesome plot. I couldn't put it down. I was up until 1am listening until it was finished. I barely noticed the time passing. I'm not typically a fan of too much drama since books can be an escape from hectic busy life... but this was drama filled in a tasteful way. Loved it.

I am torn

I am truly torn about this book. I wanted to love thus book but I just found it...okay. the character s were just okay except Frankie, I liked her character to a point. Mack was okay. By the end of the book the author has thrown every troupe out there at the reader it took away from what could have been a great.

Damn crazy good

This was an amazing story. I must admit that I was not liking me some Mack daddy at first, but boy did he melt my heart. Frankie and Mack were truly made for one another. I just loved everything about their friendship and their journey that came full circle, even with the drama thrown in.

Excellent

Wonderful storyline and storytelling. I was rooting for Frankie and Mack and was afraid that for once love wouldn't conquer all. I couldn't stop listening.

Second chances

First and foremost, anyone that says a cover does not draw you into wanting to read or listen to a story is a liar. This front cover is amazing! Beautiful cover model and picture. This was a great second chance romance. Lots of angst, drama, repressed feelings and missed opportunities. The dual POV narration was absolutely fantastic. They really brought Mack and Frannie to life.

Mack Daddy

This was my first audio book so I wasn't sure what I expected but I was pleasantly surprised at how good the narrators were. I also loved the story of Mack and Frankie. All in all I really enjoyed this book!

Not my favorite but still good

This one was slow to start. The narration kept me going though. I could listen to Andi Arndt all day. The end had some twists and turns that kept me engaged at the end. Overall the story line was deeper and more developed than many rom coms and I enjoyed it.

just gets better and better

That ending was absolutely worth it. I was definitely not expecting that turn of events but it definitely made the ending that much sweeter. Mac and Frankie's story was full of ups and downs but it was all worth it in the end.
