Publisher's Summary

A booty call. A stuck elevator. A chance to move on.

Three years after her ex-boyfriend left her to pursue his Hollywood dream, Riley Eames' life is still on hold, hindered by questions only he can answer.

So when he asks to meet her for a booty call while he's in town, she reluctantly agrees, only to get stuck in the hotel elevator with charming British actor, Ashe Hunter, who's in town to promote his latest movie.

But even as sparks fly between them, a celebrity romance may not be enough to get Riley's life moving again, not when the answers to the questions she's been seeking are finally revealed - and letting go just might be the last thing she can ever do.

The pull....

This was a great book. The emotional pull in the book was draining yet captivating. The character depth was fabulous. I felt for each of them, I loved them, i hated them, and then loved them again. It was a back and forth pull of my heartstrings. The painful love triangle - of the old love versus the new. It was great~

Narration and production was awesome! Great quality Audio.

Fantastic narration!

This is my first book, albeit an audio book, by Liz Durano and I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it! The writing flowed so perfectly! Riley is fantastic! She’s a perfect heroine! She meets up with an ex who left her to become famous when she gets stuck in an elevator with another actor… she just can’t get away from these men! Here we have Ashe… oh so sweet and swoony Ashe! He just oozes this British charm that American men cannot replicate! I loved the various subplots and was totally on Riley’s side! She needs some self confidence. She needs to believe in herself!

Tracy Marks was the narrator and she did a superb job of coming off shy, yet lacking a bit of confidence. I was laughing at some of the antics and the fun banter between characters. I’m always so intrigued when one narrator can pull off a variation of characters and voices. Mark’s voices worked in all the characters! I loved the narration!

Amazing!

LOVED this book! Amazing and emotional story. I love Ashe, he’s such a great guy, and Riley grows so much through the book. I laughed and I cried. The narrator had an amazing performance and brought the characters to life. I received a free review copy of this audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.

Worth your time and credit!

Great start to a series. Very entertaining, enjoyable and engaging story. It pulled me in immediately and held my complete attention from start to finish. It's definitley an emotional rollercoaster. This is one of those books I couldn't wait to get back to anytime I had to pause it.

Talk about a tangled web of lies and betrayal. There are different levels of betrayal and this is an ultimate betrayal.

A sweet romance, a huge betrayal, a little steamy romance, a bit of drama and plenty of angst with some interesting twists and surprises you won't see coming. Fortunately they do get a great HEA which they both deserve.

Great cast of characters. Of coarse Ashe and Riley were great and both likable from the start. Which made them easy to relate to and you couldn't help but root for them. Paige was an annoying control freak disguising it as sisterly advice/guidance.

This is the first book by Liz Durano that I have read but it definitley won't be my last. I'm looking forward to the rest of the series. Hopefully it will be available on Audible soon.

Tracy Marks does a fantastic job with the narration as usual. I love listening to anything she narrates. She has one of those voices that just pull you right into a story and makes it come to life. Clearly spoken with a nice smooth pace. Great character voices and accents. All of them both male and female. She has a way of bringing the characters to life and conveying every single emotion they are going through. Very enjoyable.

Unexpected Love..Deceit, Secrets, Addiction and Resolution

I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher.

Riley’s long time friend/boyfriend left her unexpected and disavowed her when he began his acting career Riley spiraled out of control, overriding and losing all sense of self confidence. The story begins with her having finally wong contacted by him and her sneaking into a hotel to meet him. An elevator stalls with a man with a British accent (Ashe) and Riley where she suffers a panic attack. So begins a story of past secrets and betrayals and Riley’s discovery of love, understanding and forgiveness.
There are some i excepted twists, that I began to figure out before they were exposed, but not by much...some very painful realizations that those closest to you can cause you more pain than you can ever anticipate. Riley and Ashe come out with a HEA, and others have a painful future which resulted by selfishness. Great story!
I love Tracy Marks as narrator...she’s incredible with accents and different voices.
Worth a credit or the money!

Riley I am!

My first book by this author and I really enjoyed it.
The narrative was excellent and made these characters and storyline come to life.
Could have very easily slapped her sister and brother-in-law silly if I had the chance, and lets not forget your childhood BF...

My Thoughts on Loving Ashe

3.5 of 5 stars

Loving Ashe was a contemporary romance where two people meet unexpectedly and in very unusual circumstances but the connection they quickly forge is strong, intense and life changing.

I think my favorite thing about this story was Ashe. I had the pleasure of reading and listening to this on audio and enjoyed getting to know him with the words written and the awesome narration Tracy Marks provided. That being said, the narration over all was great and I loved the varied voices I heard for each character helping to really bring them to life.

Riley took a while to grow on me and the more I discovered about other characters in the story, the less I liked them, if I ever did. In the end, I was left feeling like only the main characters and then maybe a small few secondary characters were likable. The story itself was interesting and kept my attention, but I disliked so many of the characters for their betrayal, lies, and sometimes just immaturity that it effected my overall thoughts on the book. Will it stop me from reading the next book or trying anything from the author in future? Absolutely not. I'll definitely try another by this author. But do I feel overwhelmingly compelled to jump into the next book? Afraid not. It'll go on my tbr list as something I would like to check out in future.

Loving the Celebrity Series and Want More

I was provided this audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator in exchange for an unbiased review. This was my first experience with Liz Durano's writing and loved the characters and world she created. I love Tracy Marks as a narrator and thanks to her being the narrator I was eager to find a new author to enjoy since I've never been disappointed with Tracy Marks performances, and this one was no exception. I'm eager for book 2 to be released to audiobook so I can continue being immersed in this new world. I did borrow the ebook with my KU subscription and may have to resort to finding time to read with my own eyes if it doesn't get released to audio soon... LOL I highly recommend this audiobook and new to me author.

A Fantastic Romance

I really loved the voice actress of this audio! Tracy does such an excellent job I am hooked right away. I also found the story itself to be very interesting and enjoyable. There is a good steam built up in the story that overwhelms you when the characters go at each other. I love the way they connect and think this is a great romance story!

Emotionally evocative

This book took me on quite a journey covering many emotions and kept me hooked. It starts with a bang and it doesn't stop until the end. The story is interesting and believable and engaging. There are quiet a few twists in the plot which kept me guessing.

The characters are engaging and kept surprising me. I really liked Ashe I'd like to meet someone like him in real life.

The narration was amazing, the accents were so well done and overall it really impressed me.

Review

This is much more than the romance I thought it was when I started listening to it early in the morning when I could not sleep. It is a very complex and riveting story that has a really complex plot. I ended up listening to it in its entirety and was not disappointed. It revolves a lot around family and those are the parts I found most intense and soul searching. I had my own very strong views and I felt myself screaming them out in my head when I did not like what I was hearing. I think the author is brilliant, she starts off pulling us into thinking this is a straight forward romance with a heartbroken girl. Gradually we are drip fed a story of manipulation and lies and heartbreak. This is a cracker of a story, absolutely marvellous.
