Publisher's Summary

Sometimes, the hardest part of staying together is keeping a straight face...Ever wish you could leave all your problems behind and make a fresh start somewhere else? Trade the stresses and strains of everyday life for your own slice of sun-kissed paradise on the other side of the world?

Jamie and Laura Newman certainly have. When Jamie's spectacular meltdown at work results in him being handed his P45, and Laura finds her working days end up with her rugby tackling defenseless pensioners in the high street, a move ten thousand miles away sounds ideal. After all, it might mend some of the cracks that have appeared in their marriage over the past few months.

So when Laura is offered a new job in Australia, the Newman family think their dreams have come true. But as the old saying goes - be careful what you wish for, you might just get it. As the hapless couple soon find out, problems have a way of following you, no matter how far you go to avoid them.

Can love survive under different skies?

Nick Spalding is simply brilliant at humor

Just listen to any Nick Spalding audiobook. Audible classifies this book as contemporary romance. It is humor rather than romance. Love...Under Different Skies is a gem.

Love it!

I can't recommend this book highly enough. Light-hearted, funny, and excellently well narrated. The narrators make this story come to life. So glad I found this series!

HILARIOUS!

The entire series is amazing. funny. witty. charming. Great read. And the narrators are awesome at emotion and sarcasm, making it funnier. Author did a great job with creativity and making the book so true to life and our inner thoughts. Enjoyed it tremendously. The analogies he writes are...just...you have to read to understand. Just hilarious. Buy it. Read it. Read the first two, first. You won't regret it.

Spalding is brilliant!

After " Bricking It", or rather after my abs recovered from "Bricking It" I devoured the Love series. My only regret is that it's over. I've laughed out loud so many times at work now that my boss fears for my already strained sanity but it's totally worth it.

Tropes galore

The first book in the series was hilarious and filled with self deprecating humor providing an entertaining read for all. Book two marked a shift in the landscape but not to he point where the book was wholly unenjoyable. Here we are at the third book and the "idiot husband/forever suffering wife" trope is dialed up to 11. It is eye roll inducing to the point I may not even finish the book, with being 4.5 hours in. its hard bit to groan at every turn when Jamie is berated and chastised at every opportunity and Laura seems to get a pass for most happenings.

Someone tell me it gets better in the second half. Otherwise I wont see this through.

Not as good as the others

The narrators are great and there are a few funny bits, but overall this wasn't the best of the series.

Funny well written

Nick takes the things that happen in everyday life, dissect them down to human elements, sometimes a wee bit raw, and makes you laugh. Love his books!
Mr. Ryan and Ms. Wilds are wonderful narrators giving the characters personality and bringing them to life. Great book after a stressful day at work or during a horrible commute to get you back to feeling human. A delightful romantic comedy with self deprecating humor. Thank you all once again!

Can't get enough of these books!'

Absolutely love the style Nick Spalding uses of having both characters "write" down their experiences in a diary and a blog! More adventures of Jamie & Laura and this time Down Under! This time there's the new character of Poppy, who sounds like a chip off the old blocks!
