Publisher's summary

She refuses to trust him.

Red Stone Security employee Dominique Castle knows all too well that there are people in this world she just can't trust. After losing both her parents, Dominique keeps her distance from anyone tied to her past - especially the man she's hated for years. And Viktor Ivanov isn't going to change her mind about who he really is - no matter how determined the infuriatingly sexy Russian is.

He's determined to win her over.

She may hate him and not trust him, but Viktor is determined to crack through Dominique's icy exterior one way or another - even if it means taking the game into his own hands. With a past like Viktor's, he's made more than a few enemies along the way - enemies who'll stop at nothing to take him down. When Viktor realizes Dominique's life is in danger because of him, he'll stop at nothing to protect her - whether she likes it or not. Now it's up to Dominique to trust the one man who's linked to the agony of her past. Can she find a way to love the enemy she always loathed?

Awesome Addition to Audible Series.

This is a great addition to the Red Stone Security Series. It is almost a two for one story. There is the story about the main characters, Dominique Castle and Viktor Ivanov but also as sub-story the developing relationship between Viktor's brother, Abram and his assistant Lucy. This book follows almost the same timeline as Secret Obsession. I listened to this book in the car on a long trip and it seemed to make the miles fly by. There are some hot scenes and great chemistry between the characters, so if you're not listening by yourself us headphones. As usual, Sophie Eastlake did a great job with the narration -- seeming to make the characters come to life. Overall the suspense was there, the plot flowed and the narrator made the story come to life.

Great Series!

Any additional comments?

This is a great book; this is the thirteenth book in the Red Stone Security Mystery Series written by Katie Reus and narrated by Sophie Eastlake. The books in this series just keep getting better. Dominique Castle works for Red Stone Security; she learned early on that there are people in this world she can’t trust. She has kept her distance from anyone tied to her past especially Viktor Ivanov. Viktor is determined to crack through Dominique’s icy exterior. When he learns that she is in danger because of him, he will do anything to protect her. This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. This book will keep you reading long into the night and you will not want to put this book down until you finish. This was such a great read and full of surprises.

The narrator Sophie Eastlake did a wonderful job, and was very easy to listen too. She did a great job with the different characters and their voices.

If you are looking for a great book, then you need to read/listen to this book. I can’t wait to read the next book by this author. Once I started listening to this book, I didn’t want to stop until the end.

A Review copy was provided to me in exchange for a fair and honest review. The free book held no determination on my personal review.

Another good read and narration..

I love Katie Reus’s Red Stone Security series. This is number 13 and I’ve listened to all of them, except the ones narrated by Pyper Down, I just read those. I listened to the ones narrated by Sophie Eastlake, and they were all super! This one was about Dominque and Viktor. Dominque who hated Viktor because she thought he was just like his father, a gangster. And Viktor who did have a touch of gangster in him made him so great a hero. There was a gunfight that was good and then a small one that cost the bad guy his life. There’s good and bad about this book. My favorite thing about any of KR’s books is the fact there is little to no angst.

Here’s why I took a star away, even though I love the series: I despise the word pussy and usually Ms. Reus uses it only 2 or 3 times and this time she used it 8 times, it’s just gross to me. That’s not romantic sex, that’s like trying to make it as dirty as possible, IMO. Anyway, I have already bought Dangerous Protector and I’m going to read it but I think I’m just about done with Katie Reus after that.

There are several sex scenes in this book, between Viktor and Dominque, and between Abram and Lucy. And the F-bomb is used 67 times

As to the narrator: I love Ms. Eastlake, I just wish she did what the book called for; laughter especially. I’m good with all her men sounding exactly alike, at least they sound manly, I just wish she’d do more with the emotions the book requires.

Finding Love

Viktor Ivanov hated his brutal gangster father and is glad to be free of his tyranny. He and his half brother are now successful businessman. They are a formidable pair. Just ask those who have had dealings with them. When Viktor meets Dominique Castle, he doesn't understand why she hates him. When he learns her reasons, he tries to make things right. He's attracted to her beauty and innocence. Can he change her mind about him? Viktor and Abram are two powerful men who are use to getting what they want. Their swagger is addictive, but they are wary of establishing a permanent relationship with a woman. Their attitudes change when they each meet a woman who is up to the challenge. I couldn't put down Love Thy Enemy. It was filled with great characters, two passionate romances and deadly treachery and betrayal. No one writes romantic suspense like Katie Reus. When you add the narration of Sophie Eastlake, you have an unbeatable combination. This audiobook adds so much to this Red Stone Security book.

Two brothers find love !

What did you love best about Love Thy Enemy?

That two brothers whose lives were completely different find love and prove they are not their father.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Dominique. She is strong after everything she has gone through and in the end she didn't allow it to overcome her judgement of others.

Which scene was your favorite?

When Viktor talks to Dominique and lets her know he is not his father. He put a lot out there to get this woman to see he is nothing like the ruthless man that took her family from her and much more.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

There were parts I wanted to scream and parts where it just made your heart smile.

10 stars

A 2 for 1 love story. I love these brothers, they are so completely loyal and protective of the girls it is a total romance. The action is great. I love how most she write's in the hero having a crush/love feelings for the heroine for months before he acts. It's a great way to get to know each other. Abram was my fav in this story, but Victor wasn't far behind. I don't ever want this series to end.
