Publisher's Summary

Corie McMullen isn't a man-hater, but being dumped by a fiancé via text has given her trust issues. Two years later, she's written a best-selling relationships book, Love Right, and she's scored an interview on a prestigious national morning show.

Her best friend, Sofia, drags her to Singles Week at a ski lodge in Colorado. She's reluctant to jump into the dating scene. Especially when the man who seems interested turns out to be Micah Calloway, a playboy from her high school who insists he's changed.

A blizzard hits while they're snowshoeing, and the dating game turns dangerous. Now Corie's survival rests on an impossible decision. She may have to trust Micah with her life, but can she also risk her heart?

Fun Winter Escape

What did you love best about Love Right?

Love Right is about 2 "normal" people and while some of the things that happened in the story like most romances are a bit out of there, the two main characters are pretty normal/everyday people. Their romance story is also believable as Corie is hesitant of love and doesn't just jump into a relationship and Micah has to show his interest and that he is invested.

What did you like best about this story?

It had an overall "message" while being enjoyable - Don't judge someone by what you have heard 2nd hand...perceptions are just that, seek the truth.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

It was a relatively short listen so I was able to listen to it in one sitting. That being said I don't know if I was "hooked" to the point I couldn't have put it down while I was listening. It didn't pull me in like some other stories where I was dying to know what happened next.

Sweet and Clean

This listen is sweet and clean with an original premise. I had never thought about using math to find one's match. I enjoyed the fact that the characters were "normal", but I did not like the character of Sophie (she was too manipulative in my opinion). This book was easy to listen to in one sitting and did not burn up the ear buds. My review is not a synopsis of the book, but rather my opinion of it. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. I also thought it was great how the narrator was able to put so much emotion into her performance, that one would not get from just reading the book. I will look for more books by both the author and narrator in the future, as both are very talented.

Great Contemporary Romance

This short sweet romance was a delight to listen to. The main characters were very relatable and the story was interesting.

The narration was well done and brought the story to life.

This is a clean romance. The story is told in Corie's POV. It is a well written story and there are no cliffhangers.

I'm looking forward to reading/listening to more books by this talented author.

Sweet, quick novella perfect for afternoon listen

Where does Love Right rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Love right ranked well among all of the audiobooks that I've listened to. For a shorter, quicker listen than a full size novel, Ms. Rode did a great job at writing a solid, entertaining book that didn't leave any gaps along the way and didn't skip over major items that should have been addressed, as shorter novels sometimes do.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Love Right?

I really enjoyed when Corie and Micah are in the cave together. It forces them to interact more together and IMO, this is where the story really picks up and the rest of the story just flied by.

What about Stacey Glemboski’s performance did you like?

I think that Stacey Glemboski's performance was spot on. She handled each character individually and I could tell which character was speaking easily just by listening to her read. I would definitely listen to another on of her books in the future.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

This book made me smile. I didn't have an extreme reaction to it, but I enjoyed the book, especially once the group went on their snowshoeing trek and the four sneak away from the group. It especially picked up then.

Interesting

This book made me wonder why the main characters had to hate each other before learning to love each other. This is a sweet love story but I did not like the antagonism between the two. Sophia seemed a little spoiled but was still loved her best friend.

Very Entertaining

What made the experience of listening to Love Right the most enjoyable?

An interesting and enjoyable story brought to life through great narration. It's a sweet, clean, entertaining, fun romance without a lot of angst and drama. Not to say it's boring, it's not. It's just a well written standalone story with no cliffhanger and a great HEA that doesn't need extra drama to keep it interesting.

What other book might you compare Love Right to and why?

None that I can think of off the top of my head. It's a cute story with great characters who are immediately likable.

What does Stacey Glemboski bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She brings the characters, their emotions and the story to life. Pleasant voice that is easy to listen to for long periods of time. Really good character voices. Clearly spoken with a nice smooth pace.Great tone and delivery of the narration. Her narration fit the characters. Very enjoyable.

Great Read

Any additional comments?

Love Right by Rebecca Rode was a great Read. Corie was dumped by her ex fiancé through a text message. She has since written a best selling romance book. Her friend Sofia makes her go to a singles week, the same week as an important interview on a national morning show. I enjoyed reading about Corie's time there as what happens when everything seems to go wrong.

Sweet contempary romance

Would you listen to Love Right again? Why?

Yes, it's a great feel good story and it's short enough to listen to in an afternoon.

Which scene was your favorite?

I can't choose, there are too many great scenes. The whole story is very well written, lighthearted and sweet.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No tears with this one but it did make me laugh and most of it made me smile.

Any additional comments?

I find the concept of rating potential partners really interesting, I love it is the author supplied the criteria behind this idea. I think it was very cleverly used to make the point that being overly judgemental (no maker the criteria) means that you might ignore someone who could make you very happy.
Oh, and trying to manipulate people will come back to bite you.

A Clean Cozy Romance

Love Right was a nice listen. I loved Corie, the main character. This was a nice cozy to cool off with on a hot summer day with the setting at a Colorado ski resort. It was clean and very pleasant. A fun, easy listen, I would love to hear more from Rebecca Rode.

Stacey Glemboski's performance was amazing. She had the perfect voice for Corie. She had a nice lovely tone with excellent voice inflections. I enjoy listening to her.
