Short and cute! Not very deep but it is what it is. The narrator was good.

A sensual period romance

Lost with a Lord is a sensual period romance with a lord and an Italian lady who meet and are forced to spend time together by chance and circumstance. The story is short and somewhat simple, but it is entertaining as well.

Recommended for adult readers/ listeners. Contains two sex scenes, but nothing too graphic or disturbing.

The narrator does a decent job with the book, though her male voices could use work.

Excellent audio book!

I like Murdoch's writing style a bunch and the way she develops her characters. So this was no exception for me. I also enjoyed the narrator here. They did an excellent job of adding emotion and life to the characters so I felt I was there listening in on conversations!

Hiding from a mob

I enjoyed George and Florence's story. They meet in unusual circumstances and have to hide from a mob. This story is done as a dialogue between two people. Verity Burns does an excellent job with the voices and brings out their emotions as they talk. Well done and enjoyable to listen too.

I got lost in this book

I loved this book. I got lost in the story and it was hard to take a break when I was listening. Florence and George were such a wonderful match and I loved listening to the story. I would definitely recommend!

Great Story!

Enjoyed listening to this book. What with a Lord wandering the London docks looking for a non-existent lady of ill repute and a young lady being where she should not be--on her own looking for a ship--enter in ruffians trying to accost said lady--a night of said Lord and young lady hiding together from said ruffians--and you have the beginning a romance plagued by misinterpretation. Will there be a HEA? You'll have to listen to this tale to see.

Well written and beautiful narrative love story.

It was such fun reading this book while listening to it at the same time. This story is about a young man who decided to go looking for a certain lady of the night, but instead meets someone a bit different. This is a well developed, well written and beautiful narrative love story. It is surprising what one can find on a dark London night. I highly recommend this gem.
