Publisher's summary

Two classic stories of finding love where you least expect it!

Marriage Wanted

As far as Nash Davenport's concerned, marriage isn't shelter from the storm - it is the storm. He's a divorce attorney, himself divorced, who believes no married couple can live up to their wedding vows. Savannah Charles, however, believes in the value - and the values - of marriage. She's a wedding planner who finds herself saying yes when Nash unexpectedly proposes. Even though it's strictly a business proposal....

My Hero

Would-be romance writer Bailey York has already failed twice at love. She thinks men are wonderful to read and write about, but that's it. Which is probably why she has such difficulty creating a hero for her novel. What she needs is a real-life example. She finds one in Parker Davidson - he's everything a hero should be. Compellingly attractive. Forceful and determined, yet capable of tenderness. A man of substance. Parker is perfect as Bailey's inspiration - but he wants to be the hero in her life, not just in her book!

Not for Me

I have heard so much about Debbie Macomber books, I was looking forward to this. But I seriously can't tell if it is the narrator's juvenile reading and delivery or the writing--but other than subject matter, it feels like a little kid's book. I had to stop and take a break. I'll finish but am really disappointed.

Don’t do it!!!

Looking for a hero marriage wanted
OMG Horrible to listen to. The readers cadence was like nails on a chalk board. I know it’s a light “romance novel” but blech

Disappointing

The first story was enjoyable enough but the second was just plain silly, far-fetched, and irritating. The stories felt old-fashioned and out-of-date, and I'm used to getting a much better read/listen from Debbie Macomber. Was disappointed.

Big Debbie Macomber fan, not a fan of either of these stories.

I usually love Debbie Macomber books, I have been reading them for close to 30 years. I generally don’t really enjoy her books… But these two stories, difficult for me to finish. On both stories, I kept checking to see how much was left of them because I refused to give up until they were done hoping that I would enjoy them the farther I got into them. Of female lead characters, were unlikable and seemed so wishy-washy and fake. If I could’ve told them both to get over themselves, I would have. I guess, there Hass to be at least one book that I won’t enjoy and luckily I found two stories in the same book.

Main character making poor choices is tiresome

I don't want to read books where the main character lies to herself and thinks it will yield the best outcome.

Unsophisticated cliche

Couldn’t be bothered to finish the second story. Simple, unimaginative, and predictable plot. Female characters who act and react with emotion rather than intellect, making me want to scream at them to grow up.

Performance is average. Speaker’s inflection didn’t always match the words. Scene transitions, especially those involving only time, were almost non-existent, making the story not flow well.

Looking for a Hero

The narrator is very good. The story dragged on to much. New story line was refreshing.
