Publisher's summary

A sexy new standalone shifter romance from New York Times Bestselling Author Anne Marsh

I don't play well with other wolves. The pack needs muscle, and I provide it as their enforcer. My biker name is Gator - after the alligator that chewed my face up. Sure I can make a woman scream with pleasure, but the scars on my face? That's truth in advertising right there. There's not an ounce of pretty in me. I fight, I ride - and I do it alone. So chasing the gorgeous marine biologist who wanders into my bayou hunting for wolves is not my smartest move. She's Beauty. I'm the Beast. That story's already been told and life's fresh out of happy endings. Lone Wolf is a sexy standalone werewolf shifter romance with more than its fair share of humor, dirty sex, and alpha males who fall in love hard.

Excellent

This is a good continuation of a series. So often this is not the case and it is either the same story over and over or the series goes downhill with the author just churning out books anything to keep the series going. I look forward to the next book

Lone Wolf No More

Another great read. MC. Wolf Shifters. A woman coming into her own. Romance. Humor. This has it all. It is the fourth in the series although each book stands alone.
Gator is scared by a fight he won with his namesake. He thinks his scars remove him from any woman showing real interest in him. Yet when he runs into Poppy (literally hits her boat in the bayou he's unprepared for his reaction to this feisty woman. She can't stop talking. She speaks without any kind of filter. For the "Lone Wolf" of the MC, he schemes to keep her with him so she can use his land for her research on none other than wolves. She thinks the sighting have been of the furry kind, not shapeshifters.

Watching Gator fall and reexamine his loner lifestyle and Poppy find her independence while being with a man. She is a ray of sunshine in his life and the readers. I loved the story. The series has each book with a unique story not a clone of the previous stories.

The narrators do a great job. I have the whole series and can only hope there is more to come.

Only wish the book was longer!

I did really enjoy this book. It is written as a flashback. It starts in the present, then flashes back three months. I do admit that the Heroine’s personality quirks are a bit annoying, at first. However, as their relationship progresses, she levels out. Both the Hero and the Heroine have difficulties with interpersonal connections with other people. This ends up making them the perfect match. They have a few bumps, in their relationship, due to the lack of honesty and because the Hero interferes with the Heroine’s career. My only wish is that the book could have continued for a couple more hours. It seemed like the end was rushed.

Love those wolves!

I loved the way this book was written. It begins with a huge announcement and then the next several chapters backfill. A great approach that is so different and refreshing.

Gator and Poppy

Lone Wolf had a mix of everything, suspense, action and of course romance. I enjoyed going on this ride with Gator and Poppy. These two are complex but perfect for one another.

Hilarious

This book was so funny; both narrators made me laugh out loud to my husband’s dismay. I love the grumpy guys. I loved Noah’s voice for Gator, that flat rough edge that makes his thoughts out loud so funny. Looking forward to listening to the next book!

Erin’s interpretation was so difficult to listen to.

I usually enjoy both narrators but Erin’s interpretations of her character made her absolutely impossible to listen to. I had a difficult time hearing the story because she read it so frantic and made the character so neurotic and nervous.
