Publisher's Summary

Tell me a secret....

CJ Carmichael hasn't been able to get the vivacious blonde he spent four delirious days with off his mind. The blonde who was completely off-limits, but he couldn't deny.

Tell me a secret....

CJ had no intention of pursuing her, but Tara Stevens knew what she wanted and it was him. Now six months later, their time together still haunts him. As much as he's tried to talk himself out of seeing her again, the craving is just too powerful.

Tell me a secret....

Tara is more than willing to spend an entire fantasy weekend with CJ. More than willing to hand herself over to him completely and fulfill his every desire. More than willing to pretend he owns her despite their age difference and Kayne's disapproval.

Tell me a secret....

Sometimes fantasy becomes a reality. Sometimes people fall in love before they even know it - before they even know each other - and after it's too late.

Tell me a secret....

Sometimes, beneath the sweetest secrets are the most deceptive lies.

Lie with Me is a dark erotic romance and can be heard as a standalone novel. Please pay close attention to the use of the words dark, erotic, and romance. It has intense sexual situations, mild abuse and some violence. Listener discretion is advised.

Favorite favorite favorite

Can I fill this review up with just the word favorite?

If you didn’t guess, I loved this book the most of the series. What started out as such a light hearted, forbidden, and dirty romance between CJ and Tara soon turned into a dark and raging angry tale of an underworld that had my stomach in knots and my jaw on the ground. I shed tears for these characters and I don’t do that lightly. It was very unexpected.

Sam Crowley and Muffy Newtown were superb. Perfect choices for this book.

Never disappointed with M.Never books

Tara and CJ have just as good a storyline as Kayne and Ellie. I absolutely love this series. Again as with my previous reviews if you are looking for a great BDSM you will enjoy this series and again it is not for the pruddish. Looking forward to the next book and sad that it is the last in the series.

C.J. and Tara

C.J. is one of Kayne and Jett's colleagues at Endeavor; Tara is Ellie's little sister and these two meet at the end of book two when Ellie is in the hospital and her family comes to visit. They run into each other again at Kayne and Ellie's wedding 2 yrs later and neither can deny the attraction they each feel for the other. C.J. is 10 yrs older than Tara (I believe she was 20 or 21) and no one approves of the age difference or them getting together since everyone else can see the attraction happening between them. They keep their 4 day hook up on the down low thinking it's just a weekend wedding fling so it doesn't matter.

Six months later C.J. can't get Tara out of his head. Jett convinces C.J. to just go to NY to see her and get her out of his system. Tara has been in NY working and going to school and can't get C.J. out of her head either. He surprises her and they spend another 4 days together. They both realize that neither of them wants their time to end and they need to regroup and figure out where their relationship is going.

This is where things get tricky; C.J. because he is keeping his relationship with Tara from Kayne and Kayne is getting suspicious and Tara because she has some dark secrets of her own that are threatening to ruin her life as she knows it. She made a really bad decision about 3 months earlier that she has been trying to break free from that has now become life and death for her and her family.

Threesomes, hot and kinky sex, kidnapping and sex trade/auction are back in this book. I don't want to give anything away, but C.J.s close friend Slade really threw me for loop there...after Tara is kidnapped...did not see that coming...WOW.

Again, this book had the perfect mix of drama, suspense, romance and hot sex. Loving this series and these narrators.

Some unrealistic moments

I basically loved this novel, with the exception of the very unlikely way that CJ forgives the Heroine ,so easily, for her transgressions; especially since he doesn’t know the details of how she gets involved in the mess she is in. I suppose there may be one man, in the world, that could be so forgiving but, I doubt a man with CJ’s upbringing would be that man. That detail aside, I do like how their relationship develops although that particular kind of devotion would likely take more than a week to develop; oh well, it is fiction. This book didn’t hit me on the emotional level that the last two couple’s stories did but it was worth the listen, anyway.

CJ and Tara

I'm glad CJ got his story, and Tara too! The things the naive - not innocent, just naive - can get themselves into, that only a well trained mercenary can get them out of. There were just enough tangles in this book to balance out the sexy with the thrill.
I bought the audiobook too and it made the story that much better.

Amazing

This series have me completely wrapped up, ever since listening Owened I can't stop with the next and the next because they are fantastic.

This is Tara's ans CJ's story and it was fantastic.
The story is really well written with a combination of emotions that will leave you wrecked because when everything is going well and you're swooning and smiling something happens that changes everything and then again another twist that I never see comming that made my anxiety peak so many times.

The narrattion was absolutely great specially because this time both narrattors participate almost equally and I really love how Sam Crowley natrates and brings live to this amazing story. While Muffy Newtown keeps up with the great narrattion she's been portraying since book 1.
