Light comedy and romance

Storyline ok. Narration wasn't as smooth as I hoped for. Wished for more plot twists.

Uncorked and sexy!

Books with a plot..that is what I love, and this first book that I listened to by Kelly Siskind has one that is a different kind of romance, and so much fun to listen to. I couldn't decide..contemporary romance, romantic comedy, a lot of sexual tension...this book has a lot of qualities and we get to learn about wine all while getting to know Jimmy and Rachel. Rachel is trying to figure out where her life is going. She is very conservative, and when she goes out with her friends on their birthday(yes, 2 of her friends share the same day with her), she makes a wish for her future, and meets Jimmy all at the same time. Jimmy is everything she is afraid of, but can't seem to stay away from, their connection real and believable. I love the story so much, their chemistry explosive, their issues with life so easy to relate to. I find stories like this to be an easy listen because while completely entertaining, the story is smart and the problems normal to regular life. Siskind has a winner with this series.

Thrown into this mix is the incredible narration by Aaron Shedlock and Samantha Cook. Shedlock gives Jimmy a vulnerable personality with attitude, the perfect character! Samantha Cook has Rachel spunky and smart. The two together have ideal comedic timing and sensuality, the performances flawless.

This was a fun book to read. Humor and tough situations are plentiful in this romance story.

A Must Read!!!

This story was so much fun to read! I was laughing so darn hard! But then it captured my heart. Man, what a book boyfriend of all book boyfriends! This story was fun and you won't regret reading it!

This story took me a bit to get into it, but once I did, I enjoyed it.

Rachel meets bad boy tattoo Greek good looking guy on her birthday while out with her friends. As Rachel and Jimmy get to know each other, we find them each haunted and dealing with their pasts and wanting a better future.

When they both enter a wine sommelier contest, that only amps up the sexual tension between them they both learn a lot about themselves and each other.

I absolutely fell in love with this book. The characters are amazing. I can’t wait to listen to the next book in the series. Performance was outstanding

Not a rom-com but a rom-dram

This was my first time listening to this author. I really wanted to like this book and hoped I had discovered a new author, but I really could not get past the monotone (Siri soundalike) female narrator. I feel like I missed a lot of the plot because I couldn’t get past this.

the love and fear that they would lose each other with the truth.

I love this story of finding oneself, with help of others and that love found a way in..when all you want to do is protect yourself.

I really had high hopes for this one. The narration is excellent and the writing is very good as well. The dialogue is great. But the storyline just isn’t for me. (* Spoiler alert *) I just HATE when the good part happens just the last few minutes. I also just couldn’t find it within myself to care about the contest. Maybe someone else would like it.

his voice and deliverance was great for the story, but her's was very.... I don't know what word to use here.. I felt like I was in a lecture. she didn't have much of a change in her tones to go with the different emotions that is going on in the story.
